Just thinking out loud ; NSW has Stockton.Qld has some of the biggest sand islands and beaches but where can we go to ride sand in south-east Qld? I googled satelite pictures north of Noosa to Hervey Bay and found lots of perched lakes, trails etc. I've heard that you can get a permit from Cooloola shire and ride from Rainbow to Freshwater along the beach and then back along the trails to Rainbow??? Conditional rego and gazetted roads !Has anyone any heard of or information on this ? Does anyone know of sandy places to ride in south-east Qld? Thanks.

| Kinkuna National Park is anice little spot if you dont mindheading up to bundaberg... Can ride on the beach there |

where abouts do ride? Do you need a permit ? Conditional rego! Or do you run the gauntlet and hope for the best? Is there a website to look at to get an idea or picture of the area? Thanks scotty.

scotty , keep me in mind mate , ill drive to bundy for sand ...in fact ill drive to stocko for a week if we can get a crew together .....Stockton is awesome !!

| Nah Mate Ive been riding there for years.... In theory your only supposed to ride on the beach and not really on the roads to there unless its a road registered vehicle but the place is always empty anyway.... If you and kiwi wanna come up one weekend just let me know and ill show yas around.... I'm in between Bikes at the moment but i still got my hilux so i can still get down there |
