| i was wondering if anyone has a good method for tapeing your hands for doing long rides to prevent blisters, i worked as a mechanic for twenty years & the skin on my hands was always pretty rough so i had no problem with blisters, now i have swapped jobs & i have little girly hands, i have tried a couple of different ways of doing it but it either falls off or bunch's up halfway through the ride. i know it can be done successfully i had a guy do it for me once and it worked a treat |

And here I thought I was going to get some advice on the TP300

Would it be worth trying a set of inner gloves, such as the cotton ones the cricketers use. You could cut the fingers off so that they fit within your normal size mx gloves. This may save taping and retaping each ride. _________________ I'm not suffering from insanity, I'm enjoying it!!! |

for kamfari (4hrs mud endro) we
rub a bit of metho into our hands before bed for the 3 nights b4 (you can also pee on them according to the older men)
then the night before strap across where you get the blisters then a long piece from the base of the hand between each finger to the knuckles then across the hand again.
then leave overnight - this gives the sticky stuff a chance to attach to your skin.
usually lasts 3 hours in the mud an water b4 it detaches.
yes i am a girl - got a problem with that? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

I use fingerless cycling gloves with gel pads. Better than anything I have tried before. Takes a bit of getting used too but well worth it. Never had even a hint of a blister since using them. _________________ Its not if you win or lose but how you enjoyed the ride! |

I find if I alternate palms it lessens the blisters. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

I've never bothered with all that taping business, just wear gloves with full leather palms, no blisters....
or try the metho, make sure you've got some little cuts on your hands cos thats how you tell its working _________________

I've tried chopper's advise but I'm still having problems LOL I've only managed to harden to a custard type consistency
I use some tape, so far it's been good. Problem is once you get blister they reoccur easier the next time. _________________ I'll give it a crack!
