I was wondering if anyone has or knows anyone that has a quad with a road bike engine placed in it because i wanna see what they look like and because i am intrested in getting one made up to race in the Finke Desert Race in the next year or 2.

Technically it's not legal to run more than 2 cylinders in a MA (finke) event. I know someone ran a 600cc 4 cylinder in finke once but I'm pretty sure he just got away with it rather than it being legal for the race.

Of course you do what you want; but I would hate for you to put in a great effort to come up with something really awesome then have it excluded from the race.

dangerman04 from SA has recently made a hybrid. look him up. he posted a lot of pics in the SA subtopic on this forum.
