Smitty, you've got numbers all over your bikes and everyone knows who you are.
(that's why you always get hit with rocks when you go past a crowd).
You are right though, camelbacks will cover back numbers.
I remember Mick saying that was going to be a problem for lap scorers.
The point is make sure your numbers are big and clear.
And yes, I think Scooter is right "Black numbers on White background".
Just make sure they are really obvious and the scorers will love ya. _________________ Can-Am X Team

The numbers on your back can be any colour as long as they are contrasting...........the deal is if the scorers can't read your number you can't be scored.

I have raced at Mildura ( hattah ) if that culb is helping they use a semi for scorers to sit in and a stop start gate and you have to yell your number

Hi all, I'm back from the west.
Here are a couple of answers for you all:
Back numbers....great if you have them, but if you don't or you are running a hydration pack, just make sure the numbers on the front and back of the quad are clear. I don't care what colour they are, just as long as the scorers can read them. No, the Hattah guy's have nothing to do with this event or the venue. 50 paid up entries so far and 12 kids on top of that, but I have been getting about 5-7 per day lately, so expect that to rise considerably.
So far:
23 ironman
4 in the 4x4 class
7 iron women
16 in teams (8 teams)
Looking good so far. Keep them coming everyone and dont forget, if I don't have your entry by this Friday, you may miss out on the free plaque and t-shirt that every entrant will receive.
Don't say I didn't warn you.
Mick@47
P.S. If for any reason you want to enter but cannot before cutoff, call or email me and I will see what I can do.

Pretty sure they will be cooking breaky too.
No ice on site, but some riders will be staying in Mildura, so they may get some for you.
It's only a couple of days so ice will be OK in a decent esky.

P.S. We have now topped 60 entries....still more to come. _________________ The way to this man's heart is through his esky |
