thanks but no thanks man i hate banshee airboxes lol nothin but trouble

i got a pair of 33mm keihins gettin dynoed this week.

ive also got a pair of 35 air strykers in the shed, wouldnt mind tryin one of those on a single manifold to see/feel the difference.

also lookin for a set of 28s to try as well, im worried these 33s are gonna kill my throttle response and low/mid too much

ive gone alot of playing with banshees over the years, twin 33s or 35s on oe cylinders (ported or not) will not gain any benifits. i never dynoed mine but did runs down the quarter mile and these are my discoveries.

Carb in use was 34mm flat slide power jet mikuni

single setup ran best time of 13.7 @90mph
34mm twins 13.6 @90mph

i was using custom 2-1 manifold with foam pod filter and pods on the twin setup.

yep i have heard and read all about peoples opinions on banshee carbs so now going to try it all for myself.

should be interesting to dyno all the different set ups on the same dyno and see the differences straight away

did you have any problem with running the bowl dry with only one carb?

yes i had to set the float level so high that the fuel would spill out the overflow if you bumped the bike otherwise it would run out of fuel before the 400m mark at continuous wide open throttle.

that couldnt have been much fun!

that wouldve made your jetting really rich at the start of the strip and lean at the end? (the opposite of what you want lol)

why didnt you get a bigger bowl for it?

sounds like i will have to get an oversize billet bowl for the keihin when i try it
