hmm yeah i would have to agree with greenhuman here toomeys all the way

i noticed a significant gain in mid to top end power when i went from fattys to t5s

t6s are good if your never gonna port or anything but no one is ever finished modding there banshees are they!

quad do you run DMCs on your trex or cheetah or whatever it is?

well for starters your on the wrong bike for mx!

DMCs are def not a low to mid pipe, i have seen a stock banshee with dmc aliens rev to 11000rpm!

any of the common after market pipes are going to boost power everywhere, eg FMFs Toomeys DMC's pro circuit bills etc etc

the ones that are supposed to boost low to mid more than the others are:

FMF gnarlys, Paul turner Mids, dyno port 2 into 1

honestly, you are gonna be chasing your tail forever trying to turn the banshee motor into a grunty low/mid monster for mx. it is after all, a road bike engine.

having said that, you can increase the bottom end and mid fairly easily by doing the following

raising compression (mill the stock head or get aftermarket and 19cc domes)
advance timing (+4 degrees)
any set of the common pipes

i would suggest toomey t6s or FMF ssts, these are supposed to boost power everywhere

if you want more bottom end, get a single 35mm carb set up, v force reeds, thinner base gaskets, widen the transfers and widen the exhaust port. drilling some boyesen ports from the intakes to the transfers would help power everywhere as well

does that help?

thanks 4stroker

i wasnt planning on making a 2 stroke mx'er its not where the banshee belongs IMO but i did want a little more low end mid range

wow pro circuits look like a good pipe from that site...
toomey didnt even have a dyno (bit of a bummer)

and i thought that a stock banshee only made 38HP not 41.5HP?
