Does anyone know much about the KTM 450XC? I am now thinking it might be the quad Im looking for!! But I need to know how much $$$$$$?

The KTM 450 XC is the same as the 525 XC, just a smaller engine. My 525 is simply awsome. It has all the usual bolt on race parts as standard. ohlins shocks, cro mo frame, a arms and swing arm, douglas wheels and maxxis tyres and the best brakes ever offered. It has all the good stuff as standard. Goes and handles supreme.
Go have a look at one up close and judge for your self.

13000 grand is an unreal price for all those features!
youd have to get the 525 tho wouldnt ya!

Or you could put the 540 kit on the 450.

| Go one better Mags and put a KTM stroker crank with the 540 kit and have 576ccm. Then try and hang on. |

i doubt there would be any weight difference, its only the barrel and piston that are different between the two yeah?

Well the price is like $2000 less than what i thought!! Now i Have to find out wether they are still available and how long the wait will be to get it!! (not a fan of waiting)
Good thing is that the wife has nothing to winge about!! I sold my 04 Patrol so she could get a new car and Im getting the quad of my choice!!! Fair deal!!

NOT HARD TO WORK OUT
KTM carby only choice of 39mm or 41 mm plenty of parts avalible
cdi not computer easy to work on ktm dealers carry stock or next day delivery
kfx 450 fuel injection tunes its self most of the time,parts are becoming more avalible with hardimans race team now running them this could be a real goood thing for kawazaki {but runs a computer hummm? }
dont be afraid do what i did buy both then work it out sell the one you dont like at the end of the season keep the other.
my bank loves me at least that what i think so long as i keep working!

Thanxs for all the help guys. Went and put the deposit on the KTM 450XC Yesterday!!! Was told it should be here Tomorrow (14/03) or Monday (17/03)! Hoping for Friday but Monday will be ok!! Going to Crusty in Traralgon Saturday night then off to Newry for some MX action Sunday!!!

i know that ktm spent two years of research in the quad racing scene before they even thought design it. they did this so they could have a 'race ready' quad straight of the show room floor. so you wouldnt need to spend heaps of money on after-market parts to be competitive.
i read about it in australian atv action. |

thats what i was gunna say but it is a xc the mx isnt out yet but dunno if the mx will be 2inches wider like the ltr already is

Don't stress mate marketing people are very clever. Just look at Can am is you believe what they say about their quads it will win with kevin rudd riding it but the realty is can am are never going to win. KTM is a good quad no douth but they still got a bit of learning yet off the suzi
