06 yfz 450 cutting out HELP

its a mates bike he was riding it on the weekend and it just cut out and wouldnt start or even turn over. waited for 10min and all was good again for a hour or so then same thing again took vortex off but it still did it again. any input would be appreciated

that wouldnt stop the bike from turning over. its as if u pulled batt lead off he held the start button in and checket all the wires and still wouldnt turn over. nutral light is on the whole time so it has to be getting power. but if u wait 10 or so min starts straight away Hrm

sounds pretty weird maybe a dodgy starter motor i know in one of my cars if the starter got to hot it wouldnt start but being a relatively new bike possibly still under warranty id take it back to the dealer

shouldnt kill the motor mid track though. thought it might be the stator. stuff knows Confused

Laughing its still going strong even after the flinders trip, put it this way i think its run in, the trusty blaster. cant wait for my bike not long now Very Happy

Check the Starter Relay and fuse near the Battery for water or blown fuse,also the electrical conections under the nose cone are prone to water

thanx len i will let him know he had the stator apart lots of crap in there. he fried a clutch not long ago most of it went in the stator. will let u know when we find what it was
