Can any one tell me why its so hard to get any info out of motocross clubs? I have e-mailed and spoken to people who have heaps to do with the club but I'm not getting any responce form my e-mails and if I do all they do is post a link to the web site address of the club. I really want to join Maffra-Sale MX club but im not getting any help! Should I just send of a membership form and wait for a reply via snail mail, or rock up to a club day with my quad saying I want to start racing?
I'm getting a bit long in the tooth (almost 30) and I have never raced before. Are there classes at club days and other races for us beginners?
Also how do I go about getting a MA/MV licence so I can race?

WE just rocked up. The MA learners is easy they give you a theory test - but all the answers can be found in the test booklet then the practical is that they just want to see that you can control your bike when fully suited up. I had several other ladies riding my bikes - to get the ladies class going and they were worried about it but breezed through no problem. Up here we do it just before racing. you will need to plug your bar ends - either with 5 cent pieces under the grips or bar ends. and you need nerfs.
it depends upon the club - some club don't allow quads. and numbers usually they have grades so go the B or C or clubman class.
You can ride on a day licence to see if you like it before investing in the full national licence
when you turn thirty you can come do master games withus in alice springs _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads

join QRCV heres link
http://www.qrcv.com.au/index.htm
go to club stuff up top and hit join club
$60 a single or $100 for a family which is awesome value
then on the form has if you goin to race how many licence forms ya need for mv or ma mark how many ya want then they will post out for ya
fill that out send to mv/ma with fee and passport pics and rest of stuff they request and they will send ya licence test out if first time for a licence do ya test then they post out a rule book and ya licence all done ready to race
also have a look while on the qrcv site at requirements of ya quad to race will tell ya what ya need to do
can do clubman in vic or expert but first time i would recommend clubman and ya can go into vet class after ya turn 35
basics are you need nerfs , lanyard and ends plug on quad and also u must have armour with back protection ( armour that covers ya back)

Well they do up here - just goes to show Mexicans get it easier - but we always knew that do they have one day licences down there
Yes I realise you can't compete in the National events without a full licence. _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

vic used to phone u and you had to prove you knew flags and that over phone but have stopped that too as could get anyone to say they were you on a phone to do test
in honesty i think they have looked at it if ya are going to race you wouldnt be racing unless ya knew how to control the bike so save time by not worrying about it
yes one day licences are available and would recommend if you havent raced to try before ya buy as a nat licence for first time is $280 _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

you would prob have to join the club for club days ..... most clubs have day memberships aswell as yearly ones
also would depend if club was running quads that day _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

Maffra-Sale usually run quads at their club days Lugz so it shouldn't be a huge problem. It's worth joining QRCV to be able to compete in the other events around the state though.
almost 30 isn't too late to start. I didn't start racing Quad MX until after I turned 30 _________________
