hmmm, food for thought , yer left it a bit late again Hrm , Roma SWDRA told me they have had 5 or 6 quads wanting to run and they will oblige if we can get it through ANDRA. Like you said it won't happen in a fortnight ,
I will however approach SWDRA after Easter when they aren't so overwhelmed, to see if they can back us up on some non comp runs , to show them what they are missing out on Cool

Hey postie how are you? How many quads are riding this weekend at roma? It is only me coming from townsville racing. Mingy has to work and i think hes had enough of traveling after going to canberra then emerald in a week. Sumo is unable to go now as he is broke. How big is the speedway track and are we allowed to run knobby tyres?

Hey landy , all good to go here m8, as usual no quads have nominated as yet , I just done a quick head count and if all who has said they are coming we should have between 15 - 20 blokes eek and at a guess 3 or 4 ladies Very Happy .
I see old mingy has been kiilling a few metres, no Sumo Sad , could be a good thing, he gives me a stitch from laughter laughing
Speedway is only a small egg shape, standard gearing it's 5th gear WOT maybe drop to 4th for the tight end , knobby tyres are no probs , the sprintcars should put down a nice hard blue groove us Wink
It's shaping up to be a great days racing !

Hey Landy , I just put a few names on paper and I'm now predicting a full grid ,so far only 2 ladies are definate so , if it is ok with Glenda we might have to add 2 of the new guys from yuleba who also have never raced comp, friendly blokes , just out for a ride , who might find the second grid less daunting , just to cut their teeth . Trouble is I think the trophies have probably already been made for a womens class .
Would that be ok with you Glenda ?

Good to hear mate, you might have to be carefull , she might take your job, they say in the mines the women make the better machine operators , apparently they are easier on the gear eek
Damo and Madman have got the right idea , should be well worth watching I reckon!
At this stage we will be camping Fri & Sat night , we get free entry to the drags Sunday then!

Drags Sound good even without us , rumour is a funny car from Sydney is coming plus other fast drawcards !
Is anyone sticking around for the drags?

On behalf of the Roma MX club , I'd like to thank everone who made the journey , 24 riders in total, from Townsville , Cleremont , Moranbah, Toowoomba , Munduberra , Augathella , Gatton , Brisbane and the Gold coast, converged on Roma to tackle the "Interesting" track conditions ,
we appreciate the effort it takes travelling around the paddock that is "QLD"

Results were,
"A" 1st Luke Beechey / Polaris
2nd Barry Gilbert / Honda
3rd Jamie Barkla / Can Am , [ stock as a rock Cool ]

"B" 1st Ace [ Dan Roberts ] well done on your first race m8 ! / Yamaha
2nd Greg Brookes / Yamaha
3rd Logan Udy / Yamaha

"Ladies" 1st Kelly Thorne / Suzuki
2nd Sonya Henchenson / Suzuki
3rd Glenda Brookes / Yamaha warrior
The ladies deserve extra credit , everytime the ladies are seen on the track there is wives or G/friends in the pits itching to get out there with them Cool
Fell free to post up your photo's we got a few , thanx to Heidi Wink

18 riders also continued into the night. with a spectacular display of speedway action. As the majority of us are new to the "roundie" , we were all over the place like a mad womans breakfast .Most feedback was a good time had by all , and rest assured we will spend some more time at the track this year to become more accustomed to this application of the sport, we thank you for your patience Cool
