I have a raptor with the front rims reversed to make it a bit more stable but with "profanity removed" steering would wheel spacers be better. _________________ It's not broken.. It's just a Raptor.... |

nope, wont make a difference, will steer like crap,
what you are doing by spacing or reversing the rims is making your turning arch of your rim larger and as a result it will steer like crap and be harder to turn.....
a-arms are the only way i know of that will get you significant gain in stability without affecting steering...... |

spun wheels or wheel spacers will give the same effect because you are changing the leverage points in the steering and the motion ratio of the suspension like you said it will be more stable but you sacrifice steering and handling and also put more strain on the wheel bearings the only way to do it properly is a-arms and shocks
that all said i know plenty of people with spun rims and i also did that on my banshee you just gotta get used to it but it will fight back more |

way to much push back from them for my liking, I dont even like the 3/2 offset wheels that I got for my MX tyres. putting the turning point of the wheel that far outside the pivot point of the steering knuckle will make it harder to steer and put more force back into the bars. _________________

Ya I'm finding it a bit hard to handle with MX but didn't want to spend to much more money on the old fergy as I bought a LEMON. Is there another way I can make it steer any better with out a-arms.. _________________ It's not broken.. It's just a Raptor.... |
