That's where I reckon Grahams dripping or dry exhaust tip rule should be a good measure.
Regardless of the ratio selected, quality oil is good insurance and they should burn better without costing you power too.
That way you are really getting the best of both worlds.
If it burns clean without costing you power, you're not swapping plugs regularly and your exhaust is not dripping... then like 4stroker said why not chuck a bit more in for extra insurance and engine life.
I still wouldn't go under 32:1 but then maybe I can't hold a Banshee on the pipe all day to keep it clean like you guys can.
I've hardly ever sit on one, but did a couple of laps of speedway last meet on a mates 350.
Bloody wierd things if you are so used to 4 strokes.
Really good fun though. More 4 stroke boys should swap bikes with a 2'ey mate just for blast. _________________ Can-Am X Team

hey lets get some advice from Zak at Explosive as he has been doin some tweaked 2 strokes and see what ratio they are running i dont give 2 hoots about Graham Bell thats like reading info on yank forums it dont always work here lets see what some of our own aussie spanner turners recommend on big horsepower banshees

Graham Bell is an aussie and is widely known all over the world for bein a 2 stroke guru.
i know a guy who has built the fastest rotax powered formula 500 in australia and he regards grahams bells books as bible _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

if that isnt Daryl Wiltshires formula 500 cant be fastest as he has won the aussie titles a quite few times in recent years
just for your info i came from a speedway racing back ground before quads my brother races sprinters in qld has done so for few years now runs one of john walsh's cars aswell as raced todd wanless's car for a season
thats how i know Daryl has one of if not the fastest formula 500 around has alot of track lap records aswell _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

but dont rub OLD Daryl out for a old guy who builds his own engines who isnt a cheque book racer haha
btw i have the lap record at the hamilton track for standard saloons and limited sportsmans that is on 60kms from where we live
