Is that on TT line?
Damn.....
Had an offer today from a guy that works for Sidach sheds, and he rides quads, he has enough room to park a huge amount of vehicles and trailers in his paddock beside his house, room for tents etc too...
Would be o.k for anyone coming over and wants to look around the Launceston area... _________________ Andrew |

That quote was Darwin to Lanceston - not sure which company.
I reckon they would be better of fly down buy a bike compete sell the bike and fly home
We generally budget on 4000 per away event. Roma and Alice cost about 4 and mildura costs about 6. We hope to do masters on the way down so thats 2 away events but we really need to work on a cheapest way to jump the ditch. is there only one ferry line? _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

You can go ferry or use some of the freighters that come into devonport, which is closer to Smithton than launceston.
I will ask my brother in law as he lives there to get a few numbers of the freight ships for you... _________________ Andrew |

G'day Andrew,
many years ago a few of us then moto-x sidecar riders participated in an aussie title event somewhere out of Launceston, it was the best! Anyhow, back then there was some assistance provided by ?tourism Tassie or Dept. Sport in to help get us all there. Lets face it , once we're all there we will all have a ball & put plenty of dollars into the Tassie pockets. Is it at all worth anyone looking into this?, at a quick guestimation there will be atleast 60-70 vehicle/ trailer combinations to travel over & minimum of 300 people, competitors/ crew/family. Personally i think it would be smart of the govt. tourism org. to see the potential this event has for "Tassie", the economic benefits could be 'huge' as most people will spend atleast a few days touring around the "Magic Isle". Anyhow, just a thought.
Cheers, Dean. |

This is what I have been telling the guys here, If we can get a way for you guys to get here just a little bit cheaper and offer some accomodation while you are here, (one of our top riders here, his dad works for a big hotel in Devonport, He has offered cheap rooms before so I will aproach him with an opportunity ), I have a couple of other guys working out some details as well and we are going to be making a few trips down there to get friendly and do some work on the track and area as well.
I know its a bit of time before they are here but it is never too soon to start to better the name and make roads to the future of quads.
Will keep all posted... _________________ Andrew |

it cost me 750 for an f250 and 5500 for a header with a 35 ft front so it wont be that expencive. I bring machines over all the time and it isnt to much of a problem. If you want a place to ride then i have 12000 acres and two tracks . plus i know some of the best places to do some riding. _________________ ride it hard or go home |

This page is awfully quiet, are you sure your having the Titles?
We have also completed booking forms and paid deposit.

Will it be held at Briant Park Smithton ?
Just looked on google maps looks like a MX track next to the kart complex
Maybe its run by circular head motorcycle club ?
I would like to take the KFX for a look.
I will see what I can find out. |

Just looking for an update on the progress the organizing club/comittee
have made. Don't wish to be a nuisance but a lot of people have got themselves organized for the trip but seems to be NO formal feedback from whoever is responsible,club/comittee for organizing this "National Championship Event". Have any sponsors been confirmed for the event,
? a naming rights sponsor, I'm sure there would be a few manufacturers
wanting to fight over that with the increase in intrest this year. Anyhow goodluck, hope all is going well and we get an update soon.
Cheers Deano. |
