All i ever hear about on ALL the quad websites is MX this & MX that. How about including DT events in your calenders as well. There are a hell of a lot of us out there as well,we all support our clubs the same way "MX" riders support there clubs. We also spend a great deal of time & money on our machines to get them up to race ready specs & go hard performance , so common guys how about a little recognition and support for us as well.Country NSW is holding an 8 rd series and the famous bourbon cup in Cowra, northern VIC are also holding 2 lots of race series so common people show some support and attend some of these events Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

If the dirt track racers don't post about their discipline then we won't get to read about it. There's nothing stopping anyone from posting about it, the only reason MX is talked about more on here than other disciplines is because its probably the most popular.

I've raced some dirt track in SA but it was a real task to get 5 guys to the start line and those who were keen lost interest. Its strange that we can get 30 odd to a quad speedway event in SA that has the same licencing and machine requirements/setup.... perhaps its that they just can't turn right or use the brakes????

I'd be interested to see some pics/results of dirt track events.

i think some of the reason for SA guys losing interest in flat track is the way the events are run. not because of the organisers though, because they can only do their best with the number of entries they receive. when you have to get to a track at 7.30am and stay there till 4 pm to get 3 rides it gets a bit boring in between. we get numbers to speedway because you can get your 4 heats and a final if you qualify for it over and done with at a 3 to 3 1/2 hour meeting.
there are so many classes at the local flat track state rounds that it's difficult to imagine flat track any different in the future, unless the classes are split up. maybe run juniors on a different day or something.
as you know tassiedevil we've been to the flat track in mildura hosted by the northwest vic m/cycle club. i dont know why they are able to run an aussie title with more entrants including juniors, over less time than we can here in SA, but they can, and did a similar job at the vic titles too.
correct me if i'm wrong Nev, but i reckon there were 4 heats and a final at the aussie titles too
