It would seem that there are a great number of forum members currently preparing for the upcoming Thumb Pump 300 event. If all goes to plan, I hope to be riding this event myself next year and was wondering what everybody was doing training wise, to get themselves ready for it. At this stage, Yogie's six beer-four pie training regime seems to be the most obvious programme choice to suit my own level of riding skill.

Dont forget the carbohydrates, so a large packet of chips and mint slices also make the food pyramid of healthy eating and a sensible diet. I'm nearly ready to go. Very Happy And I'm training on the push bike (moved it so I could get to the lawn mower... eek )

The bike will be ready too.

hey pete is trhere a list of things the scrutineers will pick up on we should pre check our selves before the big event

Riding gear as per GCR's including full length back guard, MX style boots and helmet, nerf bars (or factory foot wells on 4x4's) bar ends and kill switch. The rest, just make sure it is all tight and safe.

just a quick question mick. Bar ends? do u need the after market caps or just those little plugs that come in the bars already? this is for all racing not just the 300. thanks,
Scott.

bar ends can be anything as long as it solidly blocks the end of the bar, so the plastic plugs that come in pro tapers for example are cool, an old trick is a 5 or 10c piece stuffed into the end of the grips before you fit them.

Plus your getting close to the SA border there fellas, so wash em down with a Farmers Union Iced Coffee.
Mick@47
P.S. Can somebody please pick up a few Vanilla Slices for Noodles on their way past the Ouyen Bakery. They're his favourites.

I think I might have to try Noodle's perpetual pizza theory for the next couple of weeks.

I been thinking how to make my bike go faster with me on it!
Have decided only to drink 6 beers per night instead of 8

Scooter sorry 2 tell u this mate but your going about it all wrong, if u like your beer then my advice would b is 2 tie a few stubbies on every other quads rear grab bar, then as your approaching them seeing that beer bouncing around will give u focus 2 go after it, as u pass that bike grab the beer, slam it down then find the next 1...if u really love your beer & follow my advice u might even win the event....strategy mate , its all about strategy

Well it's all good and well to have a shot at each other on the forum, but if you are going to prove anything on the track, don't you think you should enter the event?????

Mad max and also Running on empty I think.

I like the " name the rev head movie " quotes. See if you can get this one.

" Look how cock eyed he works Sedric, brand new windshield wipers for a busted up windshield."
