Has anyone else noticed how things have quietened down on here since all the crap regarding others telling people what they should and shouldn't talk about. Yes there was a lot of threads that were similar, but at least they generated conversation for and against the particular topics, and there were some pretty colourful claims and stories and no matter how far fetched they were, it was fun.
NOW WHAT?
One of the topics has now turned into TV shows from the 70's & 80's eek , now that's way better than a bunch of drag racers talking themselves up, or having a little friendly slinging match isn't it?
NOT!
Before, I would rush home from work to check out what was being talked about and have a bit of a chuckle, but not any more.
BRING BACK THE FASTEST QUAD THREADS! things are getting boring around here.

when you say 220+hp banshee, do you mean a twin cylinder 2 stroke, or is it a banshee with a street bike motor in it?

No it is a true 2 cylinder two stroke BANSHEE 200+HP.

6.Explosive racing has just broken 100hp with a single cylinder 4 stroke.
7.The length from your elbow to your wrist is the same length as your foot.

Do you know how many people are going to put their back out trying to measure the length of their arm to their foot? We should do a poll on it laughing laughing laughing laughing

i dont think it can be done...

then again, anything is possible, itd have to be running on nitro and nitrous or something, dont think it would be very reliable though!

don't know about hp but last dirt wheels had banshee that clocked a 10.8 @ 115mph eek
they were looking to add nitrous to get under 10secs

the pipes on it looked like a pair of pot belly stoves strapped to the side

the mph seems a little low for that ET but yeah, it would "only" take around 90hp to achieve that...

with 200hp it would do a 8.4 @ 160mph!!

How would you get 200hp to the ground & keep the front down.
If it were true it certyainly wouldn't have a stock chain or clutch or gears.
Actually it's pretty hard to imagine how the crankcase could take that much strain.

A bloke up here & his son used American techniques in those 500 cc speedway carts. He welded 2 cr250 motors together to get 120 hp. He said that at the time (about 3 years ago) this gave the highest horsepower you could get out of a 500cc engine anywhere.
The clutch springs had to be custom made as there were none available that could hold the power.
Second and top gears were removed to allow 3rd & 4th to be physicaly wider because it used to strip them.
I think he has been the Aus champ a few times with this engine configuration.
If you could get 200 hp out of a 350cc he & his mates would know about it. I'll ask him.

Sounds like the "off topic lounge" we have on another forum. Good fun and some great posts as it is very loosely moderated and you don't have to stick to atv topics.

Great place for post whores...cough...Barry....cough....to pump their post numbers up too.

I did not say a 350cc I said a banshee motor ,
The max you can get out of a 350cc would be around 60-70hp (correct me if you have more).
to get 220hp out of a shee it is well over the 700cc more like 1000cc+..
And yes it can be done..(come on big dm how much ponies we talkin)

mind you the 535 I seen run the other week was a weapon..

anyone no the length of a peice of string?

oz 450 welcome back..Hopefully we are all friends here.
mind you did you actually leave?
