| Quote: | | with your weight and the weight of a rappy i dont thing floating will be much of a issue. if it is floaty its power not weight issue.. |
everytime ive ridden a 700 it's been beasty and a rocket on rails!
tho it's lowered... zorst... and had awsome tread on it!
i'd buy one if i never wanted to leave the ground....
(not that i tryed to leave the ground on it!)
cant say ive ridden anything but a 700/ban-shee/and the outlaw500...
700torquey as...
banshee if it's not full on it's nothing (unmodifyed other then zorst) tho awsome when full on (as 2 strokes are)
500 picks up speed fast (not as fast as most on top speed without mods) takes bumps/jumps well (on an off camber)
i need to test out some more straight axel quads tho...
is the lightest fastest bike a 450? |

have had a few rides on 1st gen DS650s & felt like it was built for taller riders than me - 5'8". KFX700 felt ok size but auto wasn't my thing. _________________ Raptor 700 |

LTZ400s are $9200, LTR450s are $12000, YFZ450 & Raptor 700s are $13500, KTM524 is $15000, DS450 is14750 here in Cairns.
How much you have got to spend makes a big differance. The LTZ motor is one of the most reliable on the market. It also has a pretty good range of power. It also has better stock suspension than the Raptor350.
There wouldn't be many riders out there who could get the maximum performance out of an LTZ, or just about any quad for that.
It's the rider that makes the quad go fast. Not the quad that makes the rider go fast. Don't forget that Doug Gust used to ride a worked LTZ400.
I ride an LTZ400 & some of you blokes out there could pass me on an Ozark250.
One of my riding mates (Ken) weighs 130kg & rides a Troy Lee predator like a demon on the trails.
One of our other mates weighs about 70kg & rides a Troy Lee as well & is only just ahead of me. His girlfriend rides a blaster & she flogs me.
Funny thing is, we all love our rides.
Good luck mate. _________________ 06 LTZ400

Another thing to add as well. One of Kens mates on a KFX450 who weighs about 70kg couldnt come close to Ken at 130kg on the polaris on a trail ride the other day.
Which of those quads is the best?
The experts wouldn't say it was the Polaris.
I didn't even bother going because I knew I wouldn't keep up. _________________ 06 LTZ400
