Is there a site to check out for these. |

There use to be a guy that got around newcastle about 15years ago on an ag quad with full rego (car number plate) mirrors blinkers etc. Think he was handicapped. He'd cruise around the foreshore and beach of a Sunday. Cops never stopped him.............they did me plenty of times _________________

Primary producers can get reg but it is only for use on the road to get from one paddock to another.A paddock in vic and another in wa somehow i don't think will cut it . i am not sure of the rules as far as how far paddocks are away from each other and what type of roads they are allowed to use. _________________ I am old and wise because i survived young and stupid |

Rules for how far paddocks are is 30km, after that, load up and drive there. Oh, and you need to own or manage the blocks, at least that is how it is in SA.
Sad, I know. _________________ When I'm racing I'm living..... everything else is just waiting. |

| State of Victoria. ----- Councils and government departments can rego, also I have seen a few done for people with a disability, and there is also quite a few getting around with tractor rego [ technically not legal done] We are a dealer with a Vic roads rego authority but we cant do any except primary producer [ farmer ] and the above authorities. Good luck to anyone who can get them through by whatever means they can conceive! Recreation rego, if we [ victoria ] ever get it, would be strictly off road and out of built up areas [ city/town ]. We recently had some new Can-Am Outlanders in with rego kits fitted as standard equipment, they where built for the E.U. market, so I assume you can rego them in some European countries. Ive have heard of this in France but never confirmed it. |

Thanks for the input guys. Now another quick question.
If there are forests etc that belong to noone can u ride them.
for instance I have just been on a 100km ride in the bush across a couple of rivers and its all ok as long as we dont go on public roads.
Can i take my quad and just go and ride any forest or bush?
by the way screaming2stroke I hear you man. |

In Tassy you pay $265 a year for Rec rego and then nominat the whole state forrest sector and that's it.
There are some tracks marked in our ride book that you have to ring and get permission but there are no additional fees. _________________ Andrew |

In Vic, Vic roads will rego a any vechile for a specific purpose, e.g. cartography, and that that vechile must be used for that purpose in the course of its intended purpose... All they want in these situations is the correct paper work filled out and all the boxs ticked and so forth.
quite LEGAL and certainly acceptable for the boys in blue, if all the paper work checks out... So I've been told. _________________ 2005 KFX700
