yes ash bike had great top end. but was just not enuf to cros the line first every time.
come on guys its a 1300cc turbo . and a 535cc non turbo 2cyl banshee.
and it beat the 1300 most times.
now thats fast. say what you want but its going to be hard to top that 535. |
Dude, The Banshee didn't beat the Busa once!
you must have been standing at the wrong end. |

Thanks Ash your bikes is fast.
A few years you reckon I think the 535 told you a thing or 2.
First time out very impressed with the results that busa got nothing till next time.

the busa only ever won by a bike length at most. and for a 240hp bike
should smash the 535 but did not come close to smashing it
535 was all over it .
explosive built a weapon of a bike to even keep next to a turbo busa. |

Hi Zack
That banshee is fast and as you said for first time out very impressive.
Next time I think i might be the one following you.
Once you dial that thing in it will be somthing to watch.
I am going to wheelie bar mine and run some good fuel and see how it goes next time..but as for now the throne is MINE...lol
apart from that its staying stock standard. _________________ OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed".......OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed" |

poor old ash, mate you were only using about 100 of your 240hp anyway, most of it was bein fryed on wheelspin, ya only gotta get some big paddles to reduce ya wheelspin and gear up so you can pull a higher gear off the gate and hold it the the length of the track! its only 200m or have they asked you to race 100m now? you should propose 300m and bury em |

As I said before, I dont know where you were standing but there was way more than a bike length, Try 3 or 4.
The Banshee got him off the line every time which was to be expected being a quarter of the weight and all, but by the time Ash hit 4th gear he passed "Big Red" like he was standing still. "Big Red" just didnt have the legs, if the race went for another 50mtrs it would have been 20 lengths.
Dont get me wrong "Big Red"is bloody fast, and probebly the best looking Drag quad I have seen in the flesh, but there is no way it will beat a 1300T busa. If he gets close all Ash has to do is wind up some boost and see ya later.
After winning all the races yesterday Ash then came dune riding with everyone, I'd like to see the Banshee do that. |

sounds like with a little work on his chassis set up ash will be out of the hole a lot quicker and leading that bansh to the finish line right from the get go!
may have to compromise some duning ability to get it done though... _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

ive got a 06 model zx10 ninga engine in a 05 model yfz450,
i have a lot less weight then ash and torque from 800rpm to 12.5k rpm.
i dont have the lag issue that ash has so getting going is a lot easier, and the bikes currently geared to 230kph in 6th. you wanna guess how long it takes me to get there?
im thinking in 6 months we should all get together at Ponde Sand drags and then see once and for all who has the fastest quad in oz. |

hey ash dont know too much about your set up but is the turbo producing boost when your on the line with the clutch in (no load)?
maybe a small shot of nitrous to help bring it on boost in neutral is what your rocket needs to leave the line in top gear at full noise!! _________________ 2002 SE Banshee |

i seen a 535 banshee beat a busa turbo.
wen thay lowered that thing it had you off the line big time yes you caught it by the end but did not cross the line first and that some times you did wen the rider missed a gear or poped it in the air off the line.
at the end of the day there both f48king fast .
good job boys |
How many times does big red need to be beaten in one day for you to be convinced? To use all those excuses as to why it didnt win all the other races is crap. Do you think that just maybe the time big red got up maybe Ash had a run where he could you one of these long list of excuses?
Also you say once we adjusted this and changed that it did it. Have a look at Ash's set up and ask yourself, how much dialing in he did to make it hook up and launch.
I must say though, Big Red is a sight to behold. It is a real credit to all involved. Its looks awsome, sounds wicked and goes insanely fast. Just a shame that the busa turbo exists to take the shine off ya. _________________

Without the turbo on board I would not have a hope against big red.I am leaving the line on boost but not to hard for it just wheelstands with a plus four swingarm .everytime I back off big red would put 2 bikes on me and he already had a good few bikes already on me,I do like the sound of the pond sand drags but not sure if I can get there because I have a young family and wish to stay married...lol (mmmmm mabe I could fly them down with me and truck the quad there and turn it into a holiday ...mmmmmmmmmm)anyone got a spare spot in there trailer ?? _________________ OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed".......OH "profanity removed" I SAID "profanity removed" |

why you gonna stick a rd bike engine in?
failing that you will need a lot of nos and a $20k 2 stroke to get close. |

I agree, lets see these so called "fastest quads" race around a track with some corners. A decent 250R trike will even give 'em some curry! _________________ 85 HONDA 250R
