Could we please get a definate date and town where the titles are so that us out of town people (across the ditch) can organise Holiday's, accomadation and things
I often come over to see my daughter and freinds you have a wonderful place hidden down there
Would be nice to get some real positive details so maybe some of the other people travelling may come down have a good look around and enjoy your little magic bit of state called Tassie thanks Mick

Going to be doing my best to make sure that things are advertised and signwritten for this event, the more the merrier, and trying to line up some places close by for those that travel to stay, I am in lonnie and that's about an hour and a half drive there, nothing really, also trying to organise a few bbq's and liquids around that time as well so all can sit around saying how good it's going to be and how good it was.

As soon as I get definate details I will post

Should have heaps of support as some fellow quad riders want to make it an event to remember and hopefully host them again in the future...

Is it too early for you to say if camping will be allowed at the track? Also what facilities you have there. Smile

Thanks

Can somebody post whats at Smithton ? no offense but it looks a bit like having the nationals at Bamaga! 100 to 200 riders plus friends and sponsors . Still coming but need to get organized soon

now now i'm sure it's a lovely place however it is a little out of the way...
a bit like darwin however we need to know what facilities are available at the place, where the track is, what accomodation is there? what bike shops (for spares), is there a BP? how big is the town? can we camp there?

i think it's gunna cost my car and trailer and kids and i around $1000 each way to get across the bass strait... is there any discount for us mainlanders to get our gear there? a cheaper way? $86 per meter over a certain length on the ferry eek eek eek
on top of getting to bass strait then from bs to the track.

bloody stupid idea having all the other states having to pay that much to cross to get there but i guess its only fair since they got all them quad racers over there Rolls eyes they should have it at a decent well known state town and track were we can get people to watch and cover the event, quad racing is going to keep a low profile as long as we keep racing in the middle of no where my 2 cents means shi# to some but a good point none the less

I think if they want competitors to attend then they need to help a bit by at least providing as much info as possible to make it as easy and affordable as possible. I have 4 riders inc my juniors and as a family we are on a strict budget. I must admit i am worried about possible unexpected blow outs....
Looking at this thread is there any one in Tassie who wants people to attend?

I realise that it costs a lot for you guys to attend but I am sure we can make it worth while for you....

Damn hard in my expierience, whenever the tt line see a bike they get nervous about dirt and disease, so enclosed is always good, I have been held up when bringing the 450 back to tassy on the boat,,,,

Pitty you couldn't fill up a bus with quads and bring them all over, but i am sure that once here that a lot of people will want to do their own thing..

I will have the new shed/workshop/playroom finished by then and will be holding a few bbq's at my place for anyone interested as well as taking time off to ensure our interstate visitors are made welcome and have a guide as where to ride safely and legally...

Looking around for the best places, about an hour from the track is a great area, but it depends on what type of thing you are after, closer to the track are a few places that we hold events so that might be a possability, let me know what type of area you are after and I will keep it going.

As for rec rego, the office of transport here are a bit baffled and they think mainland rego will cover you here but I find out this week about that also, permits are available at any time for most riding areas in the way of a phone call and just letting rangers etc know that you will be there, I have all the details of legit riding areas available now..

Yes, That's where it is, I will post some more pics and a list of close by services as well, but be prepared to bring some spares with you as the shops here are pretty dear and some are all owned by the same guy, so when you tell him to shove it and you will go elsewhere then you will probably end up at one of his shops any way... Sad

Naaa, he wouldn't spend a cent for the titles, he dosn't give people the time of day once they hand over their hard earned cash for a bike, he thinks that he has the scene all sewn up, will be a good dealer once he is gone, bit of real competition never hurt anyone...

is that the bike shop or shops what does he sell ? is worth loading our trailer full of spares and flogging two for one deals at the track with any purchase of a NT stubbie!

That's the bike shops, i get asked why I use mainland shops and the states, when I can get it cheaper fron victoria to tassy including freight then that's what i am going to do, I know I wasn't that good with maths but I know when something is too dear.

I just got another customer for signwriting and race numbers, another bike shop so the free goodies have been rollin in here... laughing
