Just got told my 4 yfz 450 motors were eaten by wash tank .

Went to get all parts powder coated one colour ,they put the parts in wash tank & gone no more parts .

Now thats bad luck , im looking for yfz450 motor parts to replace whots gone.

Not stolen ,just desolved in tank.or 85% of them 15% looks like there been in a fire.

I did wont them all just blasted, then take them to the powder coaters , they soaked them in acid to remove most of the paint.

well then $2000 up the spout. most of it was new thats the bad part, the worst thing there % 100 no more.

I notice your in Newcastle what powder coater do we need to avoid, at least if you don't want to name give us the suburb that they are located.

I personally use Pro Strip at Redhead, sometimes a bit slow depending on regular work load but always look after parts and do a good job.
The owners are both into Vintage Motorcross so they appreciate how hard some parts are to find.

I used to work at a Chrome Plating business many years ago and we had tanks of caustic soda to wash down the jobs before plating.

The boss always warned me to not leave anything aluminum in the tank too long or it would dissolve , my guess is that this is what happened to your cases.

The powdercoating shop should have known this so maybe you can hit them up for cost of replacing them , should be a consumer protection contact in your state to help your case .
