Trying to get into Condo next year. Rego seems to be the problem
MOTORCYCLES
General Descriptions.
All motorcycles must be roadworthy and hold a current registration or an appropriate RTA “unregistered
vehicle permit” for riding on public roads within Australia, and be covered by a Compulsory Third Party
(CTP) Insurance Policy valid in Australia. The one and same motorcycle must be used throughout the event
and must be ridden only by the nominated rider at all times. Another competitor or other person may if necessary
remove the motorcycle from a position of imminent danger. The said person may ride the motorcycle, only so far
as to remove it from the dangerous position.

Engine Capacity & Tolerance
The engine capacity of any motorcycle must not exceed 1000cc. A tolerance over and above the class capacity
shall be permitted for each class, as set out at GCR 5.3.4.
B2: INSURANCE
2.1.1 National Capital Benefits Scheme provides basic cover for death and permanent disability.
2.2 Personal Accident and Ambulance Insurance is the responsibility of the individual
2.3 IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT COMPETITORS GIVE DUE CONSIDERATION TO
TAKING OUT SUCH INSURANCE COVER.
Motorcycle Third Party Insurance and or Third Party Property Insurance and or Comprehensive
Motorcycle Insurance is the responsibility of the entrant.
WE have quads that have rego in NT . they pick up rubbish along the side of the road. My business builds the bins for these bikes . Parks DEPT also run about 40 quads all rego .
can anyone help sort this out I want to put a submission together for next years Condo.

Hey Goat I don't know what to do about Reg it's a bit of a problem. But if we can get into Condo i'll be there for sure. How can I help?

The way I see it if your rego branch does give you rego on your quad for what ever reason and this race fits in with the conditions set out for your rego, then they cant refuse you. The rego is only for insurance/third party reasons only. Go for it. might even set a precendent. And if push come to shove, use the discrimation word...

yeah i have got an RTA “unregistered
vehicle permit” for competition use in NSW for my raptor once.
it was a cross county rally back in 2001 we had to take to the RTA the entry forms, a map of were the race was and a pink slip for the quad as the sup reg's stated like we did not need indicator but had to have a working brake light ,tail light head light, brakes eg. the thing was i don't think need a CTP as we only went on the competition stages and not the tranport ones.
the competition stages was on closed public roads |

I think I can NT rego but there is still problems a bit long winded but I need talk to him again tonight. talking 5-6 quads as trial No promises yet

Good news
Condo committee is pushing for quads to be included . If I can get NT rego sorted out they will let me run as a bike as a trial for a quad class for next year. I then asked maybe could get 5 quads in to make more interesting. She said don't push your luck! She also said some other quad guys have inquired they are being considered.
She Also said the Australian Sarfari guys are keen to seen weather quads can keep up 
I'm sure we can.
She said Vic rec rego is not enough it needs to be full rego.
Funny up here rego quads have run a orange flashing Light 
So see what this week brings

Who are the other quads???
I can think of 5 quads that could keep up.
Smiddy would have to be in the pack.
If you do get a go make sure you finish well without killing anyone...
well do that next year when we get the numbers up.
