The 'southern ossilation index' is up to +10.4. That means more chance of moisture,at least on the east coast & the north. Most of our H20 comes off the Pacific. Check it out here> http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/enso/ -Click the 'HERE' tab under the graph, scroll to the bottom for a daily update.Dates are on the left. Its about 2 days behind.

WA weather

Hasnt it been a great winter.... we have had so much rain... we had 15 days rain in a row here, and every week we are having a couple of days of it... Today it hasnt stopped raining at all !!!
I guess lucky for us though, it still gets to 17-20 degrees most days.

and.... no one can complain about it, because our dams are still so empty !
One request... Please give us dry Sundays Smile

Today the SOI is up to 19.1 so look out. eek
However still NO rain HERE Hrm or most areas west of the divide. Sad
Theres more water in the irrigation/skiing dams than this time last year Very Happy but Id rather see them FULL. Smile
Our town water supply dams are below 40% so we are on level 4 restrictions.
Hows the levels around s/e QLD & n/e NSW etc after the flooding?

Hey REDTED Hinze is full but Somerset and Wivenhoe are just under 30%.
The rain didn't really get Somerset and Wivenhoe, don't no how though if there wasn't major flooding there was flash flooding everywhere.

I believe the Condamine catchment recieved good falls which should eventally run into the Murray Darling system, it would be good to see it flow from top to bottom in our lifetime , 325 mm recorded at a place near Stanthorpe . Out west in the maranoa catchment another feeder to the Murray darling has seen some of the best rain in 17 years things are looking more positive this year on these lands than it has for a long while!
