I noticed a few guys are starting to wear them.
Where do you get them from in Oz?
Rough estimate on price?

Thanks. Smile

was speaking the the ma official about that at the nationals and he said ma will never make them mandatory as if they did and someone still got hurt and if not wearing the brace might have avoided injurie you could sue ma so ma he said wouldnt be making them compulsary

he only said the new noise levels will be fully enforced for loudness of quads

but with a brace how much do you spend on a quad to make it faster but on gear to make it safer for yourself ya spend very little ? i know i spend more on my quad then my safety gear only downside for us is we have to buy 3 of em Rolling Eyes Sad

Thanks for all the help guys.

Pigz, any idea on what price Hatv will have them up for?

Is there and other pluses other than weight for the sport model to the club? It is a fair bit of extra money to spend if the weight is the only difference, and I dont think an extra 80g on your shoulders will slow you down.

If your a one off buyer then the states may be a cheaper option. Yes you pay more from local suppliers, but the aftersales service is what i'm chasing. When i break something on Sunday, i get a replacement part Monday. its a personal choice, so choose what suits you !!

what has a pipe or clutch got to do with a brace?

i said for backup parts for the leatts brace ...... wonder what a clip or something small how much you will save compared to buying it local.... wonder if the seller would sell you a part in aus knowing if ya never bought from here these are the issues why i buy local

I agree BUY LOCAL you might save a few busks buying off the states
but i have found you cant beat the backup service that all the suppliers i have dealt with .I even had 1 offer to open there shop yesterday so my kids could ride bet you cant get that in the states
SUPPORT LOCAL SUPPLIERS AS THEY WILL ALWAYS SUPPORT YOU

Definately buy locally. Goodluck finding help over the net from the US like I have found right here in Australia. Ive had heaps of help from Adam at Quad Squad with my front end set up and Luke from Luke Beechey Motorsport has helped with any question I have had and offered to ride my bike to set it up a bit better. And we havnt bought anything off them... Yet... Will definately be going to those guys when I need something. You also have guys like JMC, Hardiman ATV and Southern Quads that are almost always more than happy to help.

Again, thanks for all the info. on the brace guys. Very Happy

just bought 2 braces from local dealer here in moree and paid $678 for mine and $618 for my wifes as she wears a small brace.
when i purchased the braces the rep was there and said that when you have a crash and damage them they will take them back and repair them for parts only cost if bought from oz dealer and xray them for any cracks but if not bought in oz they will charge labour and for xray, so yes cheaper from america but if damaged could become expensive quickly.
hopefully they never need repairs.
