 |
|
Hi there,
I'm looking for a new pipe for my 08 yfz 450.So far the pipes that have interested me are the Leo Vince x3 titanium, White Brothers Pro II, or a yoshimura. From what i read the Leo Vince x3 titanium is the best on the market but was wondering if anyone has seen or heard much about any of these pipes?Any info would be much appreciated.
Thanks |

| Do you know how either of these pipes perform? I'm hoping to find something with a really good power increase |

| I've done dyno testing on the YFZ with atleast 7 pipes and they all were pretty similar in power output. They all have increase over stock and with an air filter and jetting you should expect somewhere in the 4-5hp gain. Some pipes were a little better down low, some were better up top but overall if you buy a good quality pipe you shouldn't have a problem. Some of the pipes tested were DMC, LRD, White Bros., Big Gun, Pro Circuit plus a couple of others. I would suggest buying a pipe that someone else has used on here and liked plus you can get a good start on what jets will be close. Also buy something that is sold through a shop here that will be able to help with any parts you may need for it later. Hope that helps |

JMC works really well,
we tried it on 2 YFZs, and they are very good pipes.
it was used on WEAPONYFZ yfz450, and that worked well, and it flowed 61 hp. they changed to a full Barkers exhaust and there wasnt a hp increase, only increase in torque.
but it is a slip on,
and we have never tried any other full exhaust systems, besides the barkers, and they were so far the best pipes ive seen, so i cant really give advice on the yoshi and leo pipes etc ,
so thats my 2 cents, _________________ "Curiosity killed the cat". Ok my dog did but dont tell my neighbour. |

I had a Yoshimura full system on my YFZ and one on my TRX and they both made very good power gains. The quality of the Yosh stuff can't be beat, and all the new ones come with a removeable quiet insert to meet tough new MA noise levels. 95% of pipes out there will not. PM me if you want a price on one- we are a Yosh dealer. _________________ DNA ATV Racing 09 KTM300EXC |

I have heard about the yoshi pipes not lasting long. Apparently they are fragile. _________________ Mic

I had my YFZ pipe for 3 years and it was still good enough to sell and my TRX system is 2 years old- full titanium and has had a couple of decent hits and still going strong.
Not sure where you heard this, but in my experience thats not so. _________________ DNA ATV Racing 09 KTM300EXC |
