I've just been talking to Gladstone Dirtriders mx club and as luck would have it negotiations are in the pipeline between Munduberra , Gladstone and Yeppon to add QUADS to there exiting Orange to Ocean series  .
Dates are yet to be confirmed , supp regs should be on the mqld website or check out http://www.gladstonedirtriders.org.au/
over the next week or so .
The dates so far are
Munduberra - 13/01/08
Yeppoon - 19/01/08
Gladstone - 20/01/08
They run this series early in the year so not to clash with other races and it's a good chance to try out all the new bikes and bits before the season really gets into full swing.
We agreed if we can get a healthy gathering of "crazy quadders" [ as Lee Voss from munduberra described us in general] we could have good chance at entering in there big 2 day event later in the year , there is room in there program for another class and was optimistic that it would be good exposure to attract new talent and extra spectators which would be advantageous for all parties involved .

Sounds good to me too. Don't know how much I will get to do now as I have a wedding to plan and pay for. All I thought I had to do is turn up. I will do what I can.

Orange to Ocean 2008. January 13 - Munduberra.
January 19 - Yeppoon.
January 20 - Gladstone.
Quad Racing.
Senior A/B Combined and Clubman Classes as well as junior classs. Camping available. More info, Sup Regs and Entry Forms available here soon. (posted 02/12/07)

Is anyone worrying about the noise restrictions rules that are coming in for 08.
Might be an idea to throw in the stock pipe.

It should only be an issue if there has been previous noise complaints made against the club/track,I thought it should be clearly written in the Supps if noise testers are in use and being enforced at an Event  .
In these supps it reads "noise is as per GCR's" , so yer throw in the stocko and see what happens .
It's a small price to pay to continue racing. |

Yer Kel and Myself will be there , Barry Gilbert has about 6 to 10 handy club members between the Hervey Bay and Munduberra club that should be there that I know of .

Coming from Chinchilla direction we take the first right after the bridge, It should be clearly signed from there .

Yep. I will be doing the other 2 rounds aswell. 
I am doing Munduberra on the way up to Preserpine for work with Dad and the last 2 rounds I will just do.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was Orange as in N.S.W. Anyway won't be able to make it as Bike won't be here till the 14th, should be good for Gum Valley though.

Yer it would throw a few people off I reckon , Madman told me you sold "old faithful" but I never asked , Did you go with the new DS450 this year You could run it in on the next weekend up Gladstone /Yeppoon if you had it ready 
I think Gum Valley will be bigger and better this year, looking forward to it ! |
