ok i have heard of these plus ones and plus two and -1 swing arms ,what diffrence do they make to the bike in handling?? i can not work out what they do ??

the + help stop the front of the bike lifting off the ground, but you loose traction (drag racers)
the - give better turning/handeling and more traction (mx racers)

you've confused me now, i thought it was better turning from the shorter wheelbase=better handelling

yeah, the longer swing arms make it more difficult to turn=worse handling
