And with its winning combination of long-travel suspension, low overall weight and a long wheelbase - as well as the fastest acceleration in its class - the YFZ350 Banshee is still the top choice with serious racers and thrill-seeking sports riders.

We all know that manufacturors talk their gear up. Makes for a funny read every now and then, I'm supprised that the old "race ready" line wasn't in there somewhere.

No, they still advertise the Blasters in Oz to help shift the old stock sitting around here. Production actually ceased almost 2 years ago.
They were replaced by the Raptor250 (new for '08 ).

The the Blaster in captivity [ Yamaha warehouse stock ] went just a few weeks ago, sold to a dealer in S.A. There is one or two old stock sitting on dealers floors also evidently, but thats officialy the end of the line. We have definitely got Banshees for the 2008 season, we'll have to see whats in store for 2009? Got to admit, for $7990 the Banshee is now amazing value as a entry level sports quad, may not be the latest or greatest but has got to be the best bang for your buck quad about.

and even when production of the ol' bansh is nothing more than a distant memory , the above statement will still be relevant

oh yeah and oz_450 a banshee won the 06/07 gillman quad speedway series and came second to a honda trx450 in the gillman speedway championship trophy meeting march 07, followed by an ltr450 for third

Yamaha will release some "all new" sport ATV models for 09.
Won't be surprised to see a full blown MX ATV from the tuning fork company.
It will be interesting to see, but the hot gossip is they will come out swinging in 09.
