hey guys and girls, i just bought a banshee and when its not been started for a few days it seems to take me about 20 - 30 mins to get it to fire over, is this normal on a banshee or something wrong and any suggestion. how ever once it is warmed up about 5 mins of running it will kick over nearly every time. cheers with the help _________________ Born and bread, to rip and shred |

try turning fuel on then pull choke out and leave it without kicking it for 2 or 3 mins then try starting it see if it fires that way _________________ black covered in 5.7 powered oversize quad

I was just at a mates place and his banshee hadn't been started in 15 months. New plugs and it started 2nd kick. I would try and locate someone around you that is good with two strokes and give it to them to go over. Yamaha dealers are normally pretty expensive so maybe get a quote first if you go that way. |

to me it sounds like your down on comprestion. and you kicking it over for a while making all the pistons move and get warn then they expand and you get enouth comprestion there for your bike starts..??? _________________ Sponsors ,Cullys Yamaha,Pirtek Malaga

you just need the stock plastic bits that go from behind the peg (not on the nerfs) to the plastics
as for where to get them yamaha will prolly have em but you could also ask in the wanted section if anyone has a set
for a compression test you need to buy a compression tester, you take out the plug and screw it in than kick it over 30-40 times till the needle stops moving
get a good compression tester like snap-on, the cheaper ones can give false readings.
hope that helps
BTW: looks clean _________________ 01 Banshee
