Has anyone ever considered setting up an 1/8th mile drag strip/competition in Aus??
Would a graded dirt track be ok?
Is anyone interested in this style of riding??

was actually thinking the same thing when i was at the drags on wed night, i wonder whether places like WSID would allow quads.
there are plenty of parts available to build a monster drag bike.
perhaps somewhere flat and sandy would be a good start |

Our old MX Club run an Annual fund raiser
Karratha Dirt Drags
had just over 100 competitors last year
about 12 or 13 quads
missus actually came second on my Quad
YFZ probably thought it was missing a pilot with her riding it
small town probably 13 or 14 thousand people
we had over 2000 spectators,,,
the event went off
event class's from memory
quads
road bikes
postie bike
dirt bikes
sand draggers
2 wd cars
4wd cars
Burn-out comp
Holden red motor rev to destruction,, should've seen the thing, it was possessed, would not die, flames , smoke, still crankin with a huge hole in the side
crowd was going berserko
Live band was shite "Ride the Melon"
.
i've been dreamin about puttin a Hayabusa into a quad frame ever since

Ive seen pictures of a GSXR600 in a 400EX frame..... Im geusing that was quick, but it was a toght squeeze. lol Id be interested to see a drag comp.

there is a dirt drag event in sa
Daryl or amanda prob know about it
the hells angels and gypsy jokers put it on by memory they have normal competition all night then they have their shoot out
by memory hells angels have a harley frame with a 13b rotory motor in it and the gypsy jokers run a 350 chev in theirs seen in a mag big thing lot of ppl and spsoe to be ran really great

i have taken my bike to the street races!!! thats about it...
i would LOVE to see a event set up where i could race other quad bikes...
in erop they drag race skido's on the drag strip. there pulling like 9sec passes over the 1/4...

1/8th mile course
Depending on how many quads turn up then perhaps we'll run a couple of classes (2-stroke 250cc and 450 4-stroke together, Big bore (up to 700cc 4-stroke and 350cc 2-stroke), and a open class)
