husky goat - it's not girls on the gas it's THE GO GIRL RACING WOMEN'S CUP 2008.
I asked via email this morning if they had a quad class and if not would they add one if I could round up the numbers... and the response received was=
Sorry but there is no quad class, We wouldn’t be able to add a quad class, not this year anyway. We have 39 races to get through as it is, may b next year we could look in to it. Once again we are sorry.
when i got the sup regs this morning I was and now
I shouldn't disappointed because being female and a quad rider I should be use to the no class thing but it still stinks _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

Disappointing isn't it. I regularly get stuff in the mail from MA regarding riding and female events, then when I check to see if quads are included it's a NO, go figure. _________________ I'll give it a crack!

the qld quad riders assoc is always the first point of call before trying to organise anything like this. we have been down this road many times before and could help with any enquiries concerning the qld scene.
if you have female riders let me know and we might be able to help, we have a couple of girls who race in the club and the more the better.

pull my finger lol just because you guys have more
re girls well theres me and theres me - currently i'm the only quad female racer over 18 in darwin area - a few girls racing bikes but so i have to travel a fair bit
I really enjoyed the roma titles - posties missus was great to ride with - it was the first time i had found a girl around my level. it was awesome to push each other along - it's been quite some time since I have fallen off the bike laughing with exhaustion after a race... _________________ Family is most important.... next is our quads |

yeah postie's missus here (i should get my own log in!!) I too received my supp regs for the go girls series and had my heart rate pick up until i noticed the lack of quads ....... maybe next year we could try and push for quads to be included? Something to think about anyway.....
VJ- if you still had the energy to laugh after racing with me than i am not at your level!! By the way does anyone know where i can find the results for the Quad champs? I saw the ones in the club mag and atv action but it left out a few classes & it would be good to see where everyone came..... |

I sent an email to MQ and they replied saying they should be on the QQRA site. I checked there and same deal...limited info. For a state championship I think the lack of results is very poor on somebodys behalf (not sure who to blame here but there has to be someone). Especially when we are trying to increase our presence and raise our profile in the racing arena. _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

Dont know much about girls racing but I think that the female quad frat should get together and approach some of the promoters doing the girls MX stuff, as you guys pointed out not this year but if you stick with it maybe next, how good would that be for Aussie quads in general!!!!!
As for the State MX results....QQRA desperately need a PR person........any takers, I believe new positions are becoming available. |

Just wanted to mention I wasn't having a go at anybody from QQRA, they organised a great weekend, but I do think it shows a great lack of support for our sport from MQ.
Hey 450yam2 just brought the missus a 350 raptor (need to get rid of the banshee now) and she is keen to race to. Looks like CQ female contingent is increaseing rapidly. There should nearly be enough ladies in the Clermont/Moranbah/Blackwater area to run their own class. Are you still going to Gum Valley ?? _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo

she wanted the electric start and as nervous as she is on a quad (from a nasty fall a few years back) I think the smooth 4 stroke power curve makes her a lot more comfortable than when shes on the banshee...... _________________ 10 LTR 555 Dingo
