Why don't we try to encourage a few of the MX guy's to try Enduro's?
How about we run a similar event to the GNCC in the states, but call it the
Dual Roost Cross Country.
The ideal location would be Riverland as it has the MX track at the beginning of the loop to spread the riders out a bit before the technical stuff starts.
All riders start at the same time on the starting grid. It could be a Lemans style start where riders run to their machine (already parked along the side wall of the start straight in peg draw order) start it then take off. A very exciting, crowd pleasing type of start. We could run a couple of classes at the same time if we want (e.g. Expert and Pro) depending on the turn out.
The day would run pretty smoothly since all senior riders would be riding at the same time, therefore there is less time for officials to be working. This time saving would also allow for us to run a couple of classes of juniors to give them another discipline in which to hone their skills (depending on entries, but for the sake of 30 or 45 minutes, we could even run a class for one rider).
Schedule
7:30am-7:45 Sign in and scrutineering
8am-8:30am Sighting lap for all (Juniors at the rear)
9am-11am 2 hour Seniors morning session
11:30am-12noon 30minute Junior 90’s session
12:15pm-1:15pm 1 hour lunch break for all
1:15pm-2:00pm 45minute Junior 250’s session
2:30pm-4:30pm 2 hour Seniors afternoon session
We could even try it at Peake, but could include a 1hr night session if we
decide we want to, on the Saturday night. It could be included in the points for the QRSA Enduro series but not in the event if several riders cannot make it to both days. No one else in Oz is doing this style of racing on quads, so lets be the first, plus it is much more spectator friendly, having 2hr races with an exciting start and a checkered flag finish. Well that’s my opinion anyway.
What do you all think?

we definatly need to do sumthing along theese lines ..... the sport isnt going to get bigger and better if events arnt held, and need to advertise the event to get outside intrests.... regular junior events have to be good for the future of quads in this state... _________________ Wilco65

If you are keen to be involved in this event, the sup regs are being submitted to MSA on Monday. Give us a call to find out more.
