not planning to go too big straight up! tho wanna still get a bit bigger then what we're doing now!
mates are on 2 wheelers and wanna do crusty style stuff!
so yeah works out in the end:D
hopefully all goes well and we're jumping b4 chrissy!!
we're building it in my mates dads place!
my mates a sheetmetal worker so it's going together relatively quickly!
it's looking good!
everyone keeps looking at the size of the jump thinking it looks stupid! but what we're hitting now is like 1500high and about 1500 long which makes our bikes go around 2500high and about 12meters distance
so this jump is tame compared!
the idea is to have more jump that stays the same and can work to bigger gaps!
(i'll certianly have pics of jumping!) |

will fold up and also be a trailer!
going to put an axel into it with storage for a few bike under the high part!
didnt get as much done as we'd have liked!
ran outta gas
tho
still did a bit!
all structure is in place
tacked in place the piviot (fold) points with some hinges
welded expanded mesh together (1 to go)
cut mesh to size! (1 to go!)
next is to finishup welding up the frame
then cut it where it folds
weld all that stuff on
then top to be welded on
(trailer idea may or may not come into play:D)
then paint!
then downy searching/building time!

Ausi comp standard is 9.1m radius 6.1m long 2.6m high
it's 1.68 wide also!
with enough suport to launch a space shuttle!

should be looking at some trailers this weekend!
not to carry the ramp
but to build into the ramp!
along with a wintch so we can fold it up easier!
it's getting bloody heavy!
need to find a place to put it!
and build a decent downy!
the idea will be to have zero gap to beguin with!

looked into taking a trailer from the dump to join the ramp....
was easyer to re-vamp the trailer and make enough money from selling it to buy all the stuff we need to finish the ramp!!!
we have drawbar, wheels, hubs, axel, springs, berings all sitting at home!
waiting for both-
-rain to buger off!
-me to stop being sick!
should be all good!
wrote similar stuff in other threads but i thought i'd keep this thread alive!
that way it'll have the total build rather then all over the place! |
