Howie,Dave,Trevor,Daniel ,Dave N, Jumbo & me ;well what a good weekend , for some the drive up to broken hill was interesting with the some roads covered in a half a meter of water. It was going to be a wet weekend . a lot happened so here goes, temp low 20's and wet ,in the first 10 klm jumbo hit a ( the only )rock on the track and bent a wheel & cut his tyre ,used 15 plugs to fill the hole but the rim was leaking on the bead lucky the back up truck had a spare wheel. On we go - the track was awesome i even got bogged, all the guys were riding hard and having fun no problems we stopped for lunch and re-fuel the quads, after lunch it was about 80 klm to the camp grounds, about 60 klm into the ride Dave N decided that the grass look greener on the other side of the fence he was following so he he and the quad went up and over the fence a big get off, he was cut and bruised all over but he walked way luck man cant remember a thing; quad a mess it was put in the back of the trailer he laid in the ute got to the camp and off to hospital no broken bones, but severly sore and swollen with minor internal bleeding, deciding he couldn't sit in a car for 6 hours he flew home ,Daniel drove his car and quad home sunday night (thanks). well we still had sunday to go and the broken hill boys know how to party with pit bikes and lt80 races all night they dont sleep one guy broke his arm during the nights chaos ,in the morning packed up camp a few sore heads . fuel up and off we go another 80 klm or so the riding we a bit dusty but we still were able to catch each other and pass and then be pass again. after the fuel stop it we had 40 klm to go about 500 m jumbos quad slowed to a stop the sprocket nut broke we found everthing even raided a bolt out of dead ktm but we couldnt get the old thread out so i towed him all the way back to the trailer that was interesting. trevor decided to go over the bars and the quad had some bent bits that went on the trailer to , a so dangerous dave lost his kill switch cable so he used jumbos The end ,of my dribble any one else . photos att

Hey Dom, Nice pics and writeup. There certainly was plenty to talk about, i'm glad dave is OK. I hope this get off doesn't alter his riding style cause man he hauls some ass on that outlaw !. I've decided to retire the poor little 440ex and ordered KTM 525xc today (Christmas present from santa of course).Definately be catchin up for some rides next year, hopefully get down your way to Kingston ........... Cheers

hi tapped out ,there was alot that happend that weekend so i probably missed some things,danny will be adding to it aswell, ktm very nice choice of wepon ,you were not slow on the 440ex what will you do with all that ktm power will be back next year. will let you know when kingston is on, cheers
