Yeah saw that Smic
I know some blokes that have the Kwaka 450 bike and it goes like a cut cat. I really like the sound of an Alloy frame too.

But it seems to have reverse on it. I would prefer a six speed box rather than reverse, or no reverse at all. AG and sport Quads like formans and raptors should have reverse but I don't miss reverse on my YFZ.

I hope that they make it wide like the LTR. Its a real pain in the arse to have to buy A/Arms, Axles, and redo the suspension just to go racing. Especially after the purchase of a new Quad.

Imagine if a bike rider had to spend an extra 3-5K just to roll up

Yeh I agree with you on the reverse and the width. If you really didnt want revers im geussing you could get into the gearbox and take reverse out. Im not shure if you would be able to do it on this quad in particular but i do know that you can do it on many others easily. If it was a good, fast quad all the work might be worth it. And i dont think that twp wheelers would be so popular if it cost so much to ride a competetive machine like it does on quads.

I was hoping that the 07 YFZ would come out in a wide version. There is a special edition with high grade shocks on board but its still narrow width

I think its a bit of a joke that a "Special edition" is just basically a different colour scheme. Woop Dee Doo

If I was in charge, there would be a "wide" MX YFZ, and a "Narrow" Enduro model for bush/enduro type events right off the showroom floor.

Hopefully the new 450 Kawasaki will be wide and then I'll sell my 04 YFZ to ride green, plus it match my Tecate in the shed.......

Did you hear that Yamaha........ Ha Ha

Lol yeh. If honda or yamaha dont start to change for the better i might have to eat my word about how great honda is and go to green or yellow. Seems like the smart thing to do since you dont really have to spend monay after the initial purchase to race. But then if you have a look im pretty shure that suzuki didnt make their wide a-arms with replacable balljoint so when they flog out you would probably get some aftermarket a-arms anyway. In the long term you might not be better off. Owell only time will tell.

Yeah good point, At least you'll only be up for upper arms though, and not the full set.

Not to mention that the front shocks all ready are set up for the wide arms and the Axle is allready there, and if you buggered an arm its a factory bit to replace.

Its not so much of an issue for me as I've allready done the work to my YFZ450, I'm just not looking forward setting up another quad for racing. I was looking at the 07 YFZ for this very reason. I've got all the spares and wide gear allready.

It is frustrating that the makers like Honda and Yamaha dont bring out a race ready quad like they do with bikes. If suzuki can do for what i think is a damn good price then what is holding back others?

both of tyhe other main ATV manufacturers are in the middle of a 2year model cycle (ie they bith made big evo changes for 06 so will keep that model for 07) so maybe we will see a response from both of them in 08 but not until after the yella fellas have taken a few of their sales away.
