It looks like a good all rounder with razrs and ohlins shocks right out of the box. I'm sure the 450 will be great for MX and the 525 for trails, especially with the reverse feature. Looks like a top bike to me...well for a 4 stroke anyways Razz

Hope to start seeing them out here soon, KTM always does a quality job. Next year will be interesting with a couple of new bikes heading out our way.

From the sounds from the US it seems to be a top bike. But knowing KTM it will probably cost an arm and a leg, but I suppose they come with all the extras and good bits you need.

But it is a bit disappointing that they won't be bringing the mx version out in oz.

all the extras and still only 46 inches wide dont seem like a proper mx version unless it is 50 inches wide with small wheels

they had one at the motorcycle expo, it looks awesome and is the best quad out of the showroom, no doubt in my mind. cost would be the only problem. in the u.s aparantly they are about $9,000 which is nearly 50% more than a honda, so if that equates to oz, then expect to pay over $15 grand. ouch? i spoke with the ktm marketing manager and he said the full range would be coming sooner or later, so dont discount the mx version hitting our shores at a later date....

best out of showroom for trails and xc? or mx ? if mx add the a arms and axles ya will have to buy and tyres to that price tag for starters

The MX and the XC have the same axle. Just has spacers on the splines so you can adjust the width. Both the 450 and 525 engines are completely interchangable and im 99% sure the MX model will be 50 inches wide, but the chances of the MX model coming here are looking slim. Sad (thats all just what I have heard)

The KTM MX-Quad has not been released.........or shown anywhere. No one will see it for at least a year after the XC models are available.

Pottsy told me he checked one out at the KTM dealer down south here in Adelaide. He loved it as a whole, but couldnt stop raving about how comfy the seat was. Sounds like it will be a great quad for long trail rides and long enduro racing!

hi, a mate of mine has had one for 3 weeks now 525 and we have pulled it apart just to see how good it is and my opion its ; its the best quad i have ever seen out of the box. Ktm really sat down and came up with an awesome quad easy to work on etc. air filter system is the best as well. we have already put some after market parts on it exhust, flexx bars ,boundles rear shocker, nerf bars, twist / thumb throttle(so i can ride it) header pipe (ceramic coated) one piece nose cone and hustler coloured plastic (black). Some ktm parts chasie skid plate, frame guards, case saver we removed the ignition key and had to do some fansy re- wiring. Also to come new wheels . Ktm have really come up with a top quality ATV. Whoever buys one would not be disappointed.

HEY BUD
the nerves where Polaris predator off my 06, the ktm ones are about a month or two away they do a real nice set of bolt on heal guards worth waiting for maybe?
the exhaust;{ AKRAPOVIC ATV series } came thru race motor cycles Alice springs the local dealer whom i try to support here quoted me 50% too much and wouldn't listen to reason woody from race sent it off with frame savers, case saver, bash plate, filter skin, engine timer and KTM hard parts catalogue it was in Adelaide the with in 2 days so much for Alice being in the middle of no where it takes a week from Queensland

PS; need any tips on tuning once you do the mods give us a call this bike is amazing once you see the photos that the hustlers taken you see what i mean laughing :+:ph 0417820980
