"Doug Gust suffered an unknown problem and bailed off of a large jump in mid-air. Fortunately, Doug was able to get away from the quad and although battered, suffered no serious injury."

When they say UNKOWN PROBLEM , i think they dont want to open a can of worms, imagine the recalls on that one, theve sold a few of these babys now. It would be hard to motivate yourself to do the jumps the pros are doing with the thought of your quad stopping half way through a jump !!!

Never had a prob with any of mine. I have full confidence in them. I won't be backing off going up some up ramp just because someone is jumping to conclusions. And i'm not saying that because Suzuki are giving me some support this year I just haven't had prob yet, and mine have done some hrs by now

You are correct from what i have heard. also busted acoupla ribs and did sime minor lung damage. I heard (only rumours) that the battery dropped a cell and that caused the fuel pump/injection to stop working

AGAIN ONLY WHAT I HAVE HEARD

i have ridden with one out on the track and it has happened about 3 times out in practise just cuts out then turn off ignition and back on again and it fires right up this wasnt over jumps though
there is supposed to be a roll over cutout switch on these bikes i wonder if this is being triggered off over jumps causing the bike to stall mid air

You can run the quad without the battery no prob at all, in fact if you install a kick start kit you can take the battery off it.
Hey Mick when the bike stalled was the high temp light flashing? If so that means it was the roll over switch and you have to turn off the key and back on agian for it to start. The only time this has happened to me is when I have rolled, it much too often for my liking! Maybe it is the roll over switch? Just take note of the high temp light next time that will tell you for sure. I would say that Gust's bike would not have this switch installed
