Williams Event Management would like to announce that the event run in 2005 at the Wonthaggi Circuit will this year be staged at the Wanneroo Motocross Track in Western Australia.

WEM, along with the WA Quad community in conjunction with WAMX and the AJS Motorcycle Club, will be staging this years ATV Grand Nationals in Perth Western Australia.

The Event will be held on November 11 & 12th and will see AJS Motorcycle Club hold its second National event this year after showcasing their club and infamous Wanneroo Park track for the first Round of the Nokia Motocross Championships.

2005 saw WA send a race team of 22 and entourage of over 40 support to last years Nationals held in Wonthaggi Victoria, coming home victorious in 5 classes it was the most successful year yet. Due somewhat to these fantastic results, the growth of quad racing has grown tremendously across the State of WA, the National event will not only bring other state Representatives to WA, but bring the whole of WA together to race in the same event.

Together we have put a submission to Motorcycling Australia CEO David White for the event to be granted Championship Status for 2006.

“Whilst some may think that the event should be on the eastern seaboard we believe this is a great opportunity to demonstrate to Motorcycling Australia that the Quad movement is alive and well and the competitors are dedicated and committed, I would see the event moving from state to state each year” said WEM’s MD Kevin Williams

Luke Beechey formerly of Melbourne Victoria is returning home to contest the 2006 Honda Australian Quad Motocross Championships. Beechey has based himself in Ohio US for the past 12 months contesting the highly competitive US GNC rounds across the USA.
WA friend and nemesis Chris Brenton visited Beechey in Ohio in July to contest the Unadilla GNC round with Luke, and convinced him to come back for the Australian Championships. This will surely be good news for family and friends of the boys who enjoyed the fiercest battle for last years Nationals, separated at the end of the championship by only 2 points. Luke Beechey will be on board the YFZ Yamaha riding for Yamaha Australia while Chris Brenton will be piloting the Honda TRX 450ER for Honda Australia
If theres only one Quad race event you attend this year, this is the one to pencil into your calendars.

We attended an event at Kalgoorlie on the weekend and the officials
CoC and Steward were the ones we will be having for the 2006 Honda Australian Quad Motocross Championships.... One pointed out some of the Quad riders didnt have their numbers on their backs....
{we pointed out hardly any of the 2 wheelers had any??}

Sounds like they wanted us to make sure this was all fixed for the Nationals...
Back armour numbers or iron on's on your jerseys....

It is in the GCR's and we are just letting everyone that is coming know they may be looking out for this.

As far as we know Con and Gavin Migro still have a lot to do with the motorplex...

if you look on the website, then go to calendar click on the event
list of times and entry fees
you dont need to pre-enter, you just turn up

there is a whole series that runs over summer for the sliders...

while your there, you can watch the drags, as its all in one complex

The 2006 Honda Australian Quad Motocross Championships will be held at AJS in 3 weeks time
November 11th and 12th

Over 100 entries have been received and the event is shaping up to be one of the biggest Quad events held in Australia.
http://www.waquadmx.com/nationals.html

Come and see Australias fastest Pro Quad riders including AUS #1 Brenton, Beechey, Smith, Worth, McKay and Yewers, WA's Newly crowned #1 Graham Terry, Womens rider Patrisha Bartley, Victorian Junior VanVliet
10 classes over 2 days!
The McKay Drilling Holeshot at $100 for every Senior race will certainly get the spectators lining the start straight early. While I'm sure our Eastern Seaboard friends will line the Honda Shop Quarry Jump.
The action starts at 9am Saturday and Sunday, tickets available at the Gate, full canteen and bar facilities.

We hope the whole Motocross and Quad commumity come out to AJS and support AJ's second Nationals for 2007
