Here's the deal:
Go to RTA office.
You will need proof of ownership.
Ask for conditional rego form for qaud/atv for Stockton Beach.
The main form includes details such as name, address, VIN, quad brand, type of cond. rego., etc.
The second form is a detail of compulsory items for cond rego. (including quads) such as turn signals, lights, horn, brake light & reflectors.
Obviously my YFZ450 doesn't have signals or horn but I said 'yes' anyway, cause if you say 'no' you dont get rego.
Price for 1 yr was approx. $330 which includes CTP and license plate.
You can get shorter periods such as 1 or 3 months.
Last time I did this was a year or so ago so the price may be off a bit.
But, it is still rather pricey, it's the CTP thats the killer.
Permits are a seperate issue and are part of the Port Stephens Council.
$5/weekend or $25 annual (again that was a year ago). _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

No.
The Rangers out there are pretty good.
If you had turn signals you'd be the first.
The only time I was stopped by a Ranger was when I was riding in the unapproved area which was near Anna Bay. If you stay to the south of Tin City your fine.
The majority of riders out there are actually not even registered.
But GreenHuman has a point, it's illegal and could cost you dearly if you injure someone. _________________ Don't close your eyes during the crash, you'll miss the best part |

If you are just visiting and want to play by the rules then it's worth knowing that you can buy 3mths worth of rego rather than the entire year. This brings the price down considerably. Unless they changed that rule.
So did anyone get any pics from the Sunday? _________________ Syd, NSW and wanna try MX! |

Rego is meant for the beach & track in,what if youre on the dunes or in the basin??????? _________________ Cheers-Redted. 04 Raptor |

| My brother put little blinkers, a stop light and a bicycle bulb horn on his trike for about $30. You hardly notice this stuff, but at least he is covered. |

C'mon John,
Regarding rego most guys have the brake lights but blinkers are another story!!! I'll go as far and say that i have never seen another bike with blinkers out there other than a Ag quad. Fair to say or what Johnny!!!!

| So what does that mean? Have you ever seen a Gas Gas? I didn't make up the rules. I'm just saying its really easy to put blinkers on if you have to. Only need them on the back, I believe. |
