I was just wondering how long people have riden for non stop?
On the weekend I raced ironman in a 6hr enduro. It was really fun, but a very tough track. In the end I didn't make it the whole 6hours- I mannaged to do around 4. The weather was real bad, and i ended up with 2 flats and an over heated bike my 6th lap! (after i had gotten stuck and completely smashed my bumper after hitting a tree at high speed!)
by the time i had walked back to the pits though it was just before 6hrs

That's what I love about the Raptor. You can ride hard all day and get off the bike at the end of it without looking like you just starred in a homosexual gangbang porno.

Sounds like you had a great day ning, you must be pretty fit. A couple of us that are way past it are thinking about entering the next local enduro here as a pony express team for a bit of fun.

I have raced and finished the Truscott 24 hour.
Yes it was 24 hrs of riding.
I don't remember exactly but I think it was about 120km lap and I had to do 4 laps.

24hrs, I can't even imagine how sore you would be after riding for that long. Where do they run this race?

Yeah, i'll back u up there that was one of the most AWSOME days. I rode my yfz for ages, pulled into the pits jumped straight onto the QUADZILLA then did heaps of laps, pulled in the pits jumped straight back onto the yfz and flog that again for ages. Not sure how long all up, but was one of the best rides ever !!!

In and around the Barrossa valley in SA. Has been going on for years and they once let quads in so I jumped on it. Not that sore but the drive home after was scary as I kept falling asleep. When I finally got home I slept for 24 hours.

I think that's just unbelievable being on a quad or any bike for so long. Are quads likely to be included again? I lived in Roxby Downs for four years and didn't even know the race existed. Would have been great to get down there to see it run.

I am hoping that quads are involved in a lot more types of racing/riding soon, once people get over the O they are dangerous stuff then we may be o.k
I work at a primary school and that is more dangerous than my riding... eek

I wish! We had to get permits to do the event which was cool but after the event I got a letter saying " we don't know how you got a permit but we will make sure it never happens again" A bit short sighted I think but there you have peoples general reaction of kill what you don't understand. We have been pushing but don't hold your breath.

Roof of Africa! That's a race i'd love to do. But I think i'll do the Condo 750 first followed by the Australian Safari within the next few years. On a two wheeler though. Imagine doing the Baja 1000 or the king of all races Dakar.

Other cool races are
The Erzburg Rodeo
and the Red Bull Romanaics.
