My self and another are going stockton on Sunday for a typical ride day. But we might have a few 2wheeeler mates coming for the sandy experience.

RedTed, you going to make it?

Is this where the dirt road turns left to the dunes? And straight in front of you is the area you are talking about? I think where the charter quads are dropped off and there are some large shipping containers there...?

Shame you can't come. I've just purchased the Douglas red label rims and rooster tyres for the dunes. I hope I don't loose too much drift action with the sand tyres.

cheers,
ash

Ash,

I think he means halfway along the track on the right where some people camp/park.

See you there on Sunday.

Look out for the orange YFZ.

Cheers,

Will.

Cheers Redted.

I'll keep an eye out Will. Should be obvious. I'll probs be riding around with mine and another blue YFZ. + some 2 wheelers. Perhaps a Husky and KTM.

Are the Queenslanders still going on Sunday?

Well I saw bundles of quads getting around. Was a great day! I took my camera but could only be bothered to pull it out once:

This was early before the heards arrived. Later on it was pretty hectic at times. At one stage about 25+ quads were stopped bumper to bumper in this series of tracks in the trees, as all the hill climb exits were blocked by those who didn't make it. Was funny as:) (Should have taken a photo, maybe someone else did? )

Post your pics and stories from the day guys.

whats the requirements for riding at stockton? do you need reg or license?

thinking of dropping in on the way back from the QLD titles in december

would we get away with using dirt tires or are paddles necessary?

Best tyres are stockers, would not worry about the other stuff if coming from interstate for a day or two.

As 450 mentioned, you'll be fine on stockers and dirt tyres. I think that paddles make it all a bit easier on your engine but definately not necassary. More fun in MHO though.

Yes you need rego with CTP inssurance and then you need a day pass for stockton. Sux balls I know, and you see a lot of quads just getting around with out any of this but not my recomendation Yuck Yuck

Hope you never intend to own a house if you hurt someone at Stockton and don't have insurance.

That's right, but if the reg/nsurance is there to be had, I think it is worth for peace of mind. We have to realize how lucky we are to have Nocton to ride on. A couple of instances of people hurting or getting hurt with no rego would not be good for the cause.

I'm with you greenhuman, you guys are lucky to have that facility on your doorstep. Don't mess it up

CTP insurance and rego is a pain but worth every penny in my book.

P.S. Greenhuman did you see my x33 axle hub thread in the forsale section
