Looks like AJS will be a container city for the weekend. We need to organise something like that to go from SA, then hire a couple of mini busses for the weekend. Any accomodation near the track, eg hotels.....with a spa for us old buggers??? I hope you WA guy's are organising one hell of an after party for us. Make us proud guy's.

dont worry Smitty, you stay home and get that sialage and hay under controll. Fuel up the F truck, Jeff and Adam will come and pick it up and look after it (and the trailer!!) pick up Nicole, Pete and Sairs and will bring it back when they are finished in WA. Deb. _________________

Awesome looking track...looks like you could ride real fast. Every MX track Ive riden has been rough as guts and not much fun.

Hey Smity ,you betta take some 20 inch tyres for the rear ! your right it will whoop out and carve a deep line with mungo braking bumps .For NSW ,Practise at Stockton Beach every day x 4 x20 minute motos on the Whoop section ! Smitty ,practise at the same track as last years Nationals but with bigger jumps and that would be good practise for AJS!

The Wait is over !!!
It is with great Pleasure that tonight we have received an email from the Board of Motorcycling Australia approving the running of the Nationals this year as a Championship.
The Australian Quad Motocross Championships 2006
Not sure if it works the same in other states as it does here.... But our Motorcycling State office has a travel Grant procedure for going to Australian Championships. If their deadline is passed, push the point that the event has only just been endorsed and try for frieght money or air fares... every bit helps ! _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

You are correct, Honda has come on board and are the naming rights sponsors for the 2006 Honda Australian Quad Motocross Championships.
Check out the press release in the events section of this forum. _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

 |
|
We've tried to be helpful and supply some information on travel Grants and Travel subsidy from each of the Motorcycling State Offices.
MNSW 02 9635 9177
Mtas 03 6426 1988
MV 03 9482 5422
MQ 07 3281 2255
MANT 08 8983 2200
MSA 08 8332 9000
It seems other states dont have the same process as WA has, and you need to apply to your states board of directors for individual help.
Possibly list your previous state and national achievements and prospective achievements at the 2006 Nationals. If you get $200 you would be doing well, but its all help. _________________ www.waquadmx.com |

We have already approached MV and got this reply
"Unfortunately MV doesn't have a travel grant scheme and in discussion recently at the Executive meeting, it was recalled that all States used to have a 3% gate levy for all open events which MA would then hand back to the States for travel assistance. This however hasn't existed for years and some of the Executive were wondering where MWA is getting it's revenue to fund these requests. The Executive passes on it's best wishes for the event." _________________

MVic and MNSW then went onto say, that grants could be looked at on a person by person basis..... so no harm in trying?
Or ask them to help apply to the Department of Sports and Rec in your state.
My daughter has to travel to Geelong in December for Basketball, and I was told to go to the Local Council for community sponsorship as well... If we all try all avenues, it will all help everyone. I see it as trading a piece of paper{application} for a cheque.... fair trade _________________ www.waquadmx.com |
