not too late for ammendments tho daz, few new ones got in late last year for this years rules.
I've sent something out to the committee wadey but they've most of them are at the mansfield trail ride. I think we've got a meeting next week so it'll come up there for sure. _________________

Can you make a CVT as fast as a Cobra ... NO!
We had a race a few month back where the 50cc (Mikey was racing his 50cc Cobra - he was not ready for shifter yet) and the 100cc CVT (top bike is heavily modded) classes where combined. There where 3 Cobera's and one was not running well. All 3 50cc Cobra's beat all the 100cc CVT bikes, and Mikey (1st) lapped 3 of the 7 100cc CVT!!
That is a 50cc against a 100cc!!
The Cobera's are a total package ... The frame, shocks, read swing arm and motor all work together. The bike (quad) is stoopidly fast ... and the little guys throw it about like nobodys' business!!
As for classes ... Here is South Africa we just had to add a 70cc production class, for the Cobera's to ride in. It will be combined with the 100cc CVT class at regional and national levels (Shame for the little guys and gals on the 100cc ... a 70cc shirter will lap the whole field!!).
But your commitee must be warned, these bikes (Cobra's and the Hetricks) are out there, and people are going to buy them. We also ride them from a lot younger that you guys, starting at 7.
But I cant wait to get there and start the little guy racing!!! _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!

| We've got my little guys LT80 to beat the Cobra for start and the first few corners, [ Vic title ] but soon as the handling comes into it, we're shot. |

I'de really like to race against a Cobra, just to first hand see by how much they'de be infront.
Time will tell.
Does the fact that some of these kids riding Cobras are just bloody fast.
I don't know the scene... but I would assume parents that invest 12 to 15 grand in a bike for their kid to race, already have a pretty fast kid.
I still think Petey's idea of letting the 70cc Cobras in is a good start.
But before that maybe someone should do a track test day, lap timing the same rider swapping between a few quads.
dunno. _________________ Can-Am X Team

| 11 year old Ben's little LT80 was there [ 06 Nats ], and got a couple of good starts, but a blown tranny case gasket and oil on the belt blew any chance of a decent go. First time it let him down for the whole '06 season. He's pretty happy with his 2nd to the Cobra in the Vic's this year though! |

I am not too sure we are going to bring his bike ... there is no class for him. He is 7 (birthday 04/01) and already racing a 70cc Cobra with shifter.
I am thinking of selling it and buying one when we get there ... What do you think? _________________ Mikey got 3rd in the Nationals!!
