Another update..below is an email from the Suzuki dealer today...

SUZUKI ARE HAVING A MEETING THIS AFTERNOON TO DICUSS A RELEASE DATE FOR THE LTR450 ,AS SOON AS I KNOW THE OUTCOME I WILL LET YOU KNOW .SORRY FOR THE WAIT BUT ALL THE SUZUKI DEALERS ARE IN THE SAME SITUATION .

| From what I hear, the NZ and Aus LT's have dud CDI's and Suzuki Australia are waiting on replacement units from Yoshi. Don't know how true, but it came from a reliable source. |

| I belive that is faulse John NZ have had there quads since the start of feb without any problems so far. And how can you say we have duds when Suzuki Australia haven't evan ridden them yet over here. They are having a press day today I think with Jay Forman |

| Because I received a call from a bloke in Perth with an LTR on order and this what he has been told by his shop. He already has his Yoshi stuff from the U.S and he was dirty he had to wait for Suzuki to get theirs. According to him, not me, there is or was a problem with the rev limit. They were not running up top like they were supposed to. Just don't shoot the messenger. I don't know how true all this is, but I thought I would share the info anyway. |

Further update
Dealer says they will have the bike next Teusday but cant give it to me untill a new electrical part (I think he said CDI) arrives.

I got a chance to have a good look over a new LTR450 and they are sweet,they look trick and they go real good so anyone that is waiting on on one shouldnt be dissapointed.

I got the low down about the supposed CDI prob yesterday turns out they had no prob at all just as i thought. The reason for the hold up was that they had not recived there cherry bombs yet (a plug in device that you need for the FI if you are going to run without the airbox lid and baffle out of the pipe) and the prob with NZ was that they released them before they got the cherry bomb and got a big smack on the bum Suzuki HQ.
Anyway they have them now and there press launch is today so you will have yours in a couple of days or early next week. I was lucky enough to get one of mine last night because they want one at the frist round of the Vic titles this weekend. |

| So you believe Suzuki held up the release of the new quad because they did not have a part in stock worth about $35US just in case someone decided to run without an airbox lid and baffle? I like my story better. If there was no problem at all, why not release it? |
