 |
|
Does anyone know where we can get insurance cover for legal liability just in case we do have an accident or we injure a person on an other quad or bike or walking the tracks??
Most home insurance covers you for this but the fine print will not cover you if the motor vehicle is not registered. This could be a problem to all of us especially when riding in groups – If someone gets injured, who is going to sue whom? Is there a quad insurance that will cover us for the fire, theft and also legal liability??
We all ride illegally here in Victoria so what about covering our A**es?
Does anyone know? |

the sad undeniable fact is NOTHING, which stinks. And that where the whole thing is stupid. We brake the law because they (Vic roads) refuse to give us and other bush users the cover we all deserve, for no real reason other than... I dont know. Can get cover for private property, some have their quads reg as tractors, but with certain uses only, a very grey area, but this is all ready covered here to many times. But all said and done becareful, which we do regardless, but accidents do and will happen. _________________ 2005 KFX700

I dont think the demand is high enough for the insurance company to cover it and if they did they will also need you to be riding in a place that is leagal i dont think they will cover you if you are riding illeagaly. thats what i think..... good luck with it |

OOOo, Bloody dear, $1062, that covers gear and bike with a excess of $400, would need do do a lot of damage to make tht worth while, has 20,000,000 worth of liability though, tht could be handy. _________________ Andrew |

Thanks Guys, I thought that I was covered with my home insurance but after pushing my insurance broker to clearify with the underwriters I found out that I was not.
I will check out the insurance co as suggested above and come back to you all if any luck.
Even if it is a $1000 I used to pay this much to cover my Jetski every year anyhow so much the same hey!
Cheers |

OK, I did ring them and they do not cover Quad bikes without registration of some kind, and if Rec Rego the rider must also have a bike licence not Car lic. So they can only cover you for damage to bike and property (just like all the others) No Legal Liability cover
OK, So I will keep looking to see if I can find any other type of cover - anyone working in the insurance field?? |
