I have put on a modified air box lid and a full system on the 700 Raptor, seems to run well and doesn't show any signs of anything wrong.
A few people have suggested getting an after market EFI mapping computer to alter the map as I have modified the bike.
I rang the local Yamaha dealer and they said they would put it on their computer and set it right for me.

The question is,, do I but a computer EFI module or just get them to do it.

I can't see myself making any other mods so I am wondering if I would be just wasting my money.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I would recommend an after market one like a Vortex interceptor, at least that way you can change the fuel settings as you need to no just be stuck with whatever your dealer thinks is the right map.

Taz,

Go with a Power Commander III, they supply you with the program to change the maps in the computer. I sold my Vortex because there is no way to adjust the map. You can download maps of the Power Commander website.

Yeah, I got the PC3,it's great. It was the first mod I did to my Raptor. I just used the maps that came on the cdrom. Each mod after that I just hook the rappy to the lappy and change maps. Airbox lid, baffle out, k&n,Yoshi. There's maps for all these combinations and even the bog stock map gives crisper response, but with the exhaust and inlet mods this thing is strong everywhere and doesen't hesitate anywhere, any gear, any speed. It's the Duck's nuts, get 1.

Got local Yamaha dealer to retune the Raptor.
Has made a huge difference tuning it to the mods, crisper more responsive acceleration, bloody hands are sore from hanging onto the thing all day actually, might still look at something after market as well, Thanks for all the replies
