hi all, I'm hoping to get down to Stockton beach on our next trip south but I'm curious as to the rules etc nowdays. The last time I went there was about ten years ago, back then you got the permit from a bread shop near the beach entry road (Is it Lavis Ln or something?) and you had to have recreational rego, which if I remember rightly, was a pain to get cause no one in the motor registry knew anything about it! What I'd like to know is the where and how much aprox. for the rego and or permits. I've got a 200x if that has any bearing on the fees (used to be relative to engine size) Can you get recreational rego in NSW if you if you dont live in NSW? I've tried looking it up on the NSW transport web site but it like any Goverment department, it's either impossible to find or not there! HELP!! _________________ HAD heaps of trikes, back to just one now

Atv _ Peter ,
I have my bikes Rec regd in QLD (cost $143) per year each bike.
Then all I did was get a 3 day beach permit once down at Stockton. U can get them from the servo at lavis Lane , or as i did from the motor camp at Anna Bay. All I needed to do was show my rec rego papers to the assistant at the motor camp and I paid my $20 for three days.
U are supposed to put the beach permit sticker on your windscreen , but as i dont have a windscreen on my atv ( unless u count my goggles) , I put it in my back pack and just carried it with me.
Simple as. - Dont waist your time trying to get NSW rego ....
Hope that helps _________________ It's time too ride !!!!!!! |
