i have some land on a friends cane farm where i can put a ramp and a landing that we can use, just wondering how wide the ramp should be for a quad. ideas on width for a 50inch wide quad would be great, atm i am lookin at about 2.4m wide as it is the width of 2 standard sheets of metal, does anyone think that is too wide? your input is appreciated _________________ 04 yfz450 |

At 2.4 you'll be able to jump two skock width quads side by side.
only joking
I have a sketchy overpass made out of 1200 wide brick pallets. That's way too narrow.
But I would think 1800 wide would be ample.
That way you could join the 3 off-cuts to make every 4th pannel. _________________ Can-Am X Team

I like to keep both wheels firmly on the ground,,, But would be allowing enough width for at least 2 foot either side( even more if in loose ground) Too late if you mess up just before the ramp and have no room for error. _________________ Andrew |

2.2 ey, bit of an odd size
ozzy450, what dimensions are your ramp, so far i have
radius= 9.1m
length= bout 6m
hight= 2.5m
pretty much the same as an aussie comp ramp
what do you reckon? _________________ 04 yfz450 |

my ramp is radius is 8
length is 5
hight is 2
it isnt big but good fun. i want to make i bolt on extenshion to make it i bit bigger in a few months. the reason it is 2.2 wide is that i picked up some cheep sheet steel that was cut for something els and then they didnt want it. _________________ ride it hard or go home |

I'm keen to setup a ramp also!
(sick of digging out the dirt!)
i wouldnt mind somethign around
1500 H, 2400 W, 3000 L
making it sorta a half size ausi comp!
with the ability to chuck a step up onto it!
but untill the wife and wallet permit
i'll be digging! |
