Hey guys and girls just joined looking forward to getting to know all of you. just bought a 04 DS 650 baja. I've only rode it a handful of times as I'm fixing the little prob's so that its a smick ride (eg lights , tacho , service ,grease) so i know its done. so I can enjoy it 4 a long time!!!!!


just wondering if ne 1 would have a wiring diagram 4 1 of these bikes??
or know ne thing about them???

the driving lights r a bit dickie atm but it could b a dud globe or bad earth....

Is it a Baja or a Baja X ( big sticker on the tank with an x on it ) X model had nerf bars and gas shocks etc .

Check the rectifier , its at the back under the seat , small black box with ribbed fins on it .....see if its showing a charge through it 12.7v to 13.2 (i think) ...they are usually the culprit.

By the way ,iv e had every model of Bomb since they first bought them out i n 2000 , top bike and hard to beat for reliability and strength. So if u have any other questions ask away.

so how do u check it? (with it running? what coloured wires?)then I'll have a look!!!

so how do u fix it if it is the culprit?

and is that just the light problem and the tach aswell???

hey pro kiwi it turned out to be th relay that runs the little driving lights

and yeah i think the tacho is knackered but i'm getting it looked at...

does ne 1 have ne idea how to fix a ds 650 tacho??????
