Well now i do believe there is a god!!!!I received a call from Mt Druitt police station this evening informing me that they have found my bike.Yippeeeee! Apparently the theives took it for a joy ride the night they stole it but it was to much for them to handle as they found the bike had been ditched after it went up a gutter and through a fence. The impact tore the front right wheel off the bike and must have sent the guy flying, hopefully hurting himself very badly. The bike was discovered the next day but they had been trying to track me down as the vin and eng numbers were registered with kawasaki the had to jump a few hoops before gaining my contact details. If you ae able to register your details i urge you to with the manufacturer of your bike as my nightmare has come to a reasonably happy ending. I would rather pay repair than replace.

go to your local supercheap store and buy a pack of datadots. you spray these on your bike and then register the serial number on the datadot website. when your bike gets stolen/recovered the cops use a blue light over all stolen items and they have access to the datadot database and are able to contact you asap. this technology is used by subaru, hsv, lexus etc etc. about $99 retail.

so after you reported it stolen, why didnt the cops have your details?

we had a car stolen couple years ago, 2weeks after is was taken the cops called to say where it was when we got there a lady comes out and tells us she reported it the day after it was stolen with the plate numbers and it took them 2 weeks to let us know!

Well in some ways the cops are $#@*%**#@!!!! but then some of them are dedicated, yes i'd given all details but the constable who contacted had done a damm fine job of tracking me down through kawasaki who tracked the bike to the store that sold it then tracked me from the details from original purchase. So a big thanks to him. When i questioned another constable at druitt station about why i wasn't contacted immediately since i'd given details,as my copper was off sick, his answer was "i'd say the person taking the call at police assistance line put a number in wrong seeing as there was so many of them" WOW!!! There's our tax dollars hard at work!!!! After a lot of dicking around i finally got to collect my bike and found out some of the story behind what happened as i'm yet to talk to the original officer who contacted me, who was the one who disturbed the theives while they were drag racing my bike out at bidwell. But the story goes............At about 2:30am the police got a call about "shitbags"drag racing quads up and down davids rd at bidwell so when the cops arrive they've spotted a green atv on it's back wheels with 2 people on it,draging the grab bar on the ground with sparks flying, drag racing a red/orange atv. The cops hit the sirens and the bike came down...swerved...hit the gutter and sent both flying and a wheel rolling....Estimated speed of impact was 110km........(the constable asked why do i own such a monster of a bike??? Just for fun i answered!!)....then the guys sprang up and one jumped on the other bike and they took off down an alley and the other ran into the bush and they lost them...The dog squad was called in but no luck......The bike has been printed and DNA tested. The damage isn't as bad as what i was expecting but i'm just glad to have her home.
laughing
pics of damage up soon

nah the bike wasnt flipped, they were just dragging the tail so it wore down a little bit on the plastics and tail light but bent the hell out of the bar.
